I see no reason why it wouldn’t disappear. As I made a tool to view your saved scores, once you reach the maximum capacity, scores will start to be overwritten. But you can also micromanage all that if you wanted to.
Regarding the Dolphin issue, I don’t have Guitar Hero to test, but I’ve been using 5.0-1131 with RB3 and everything was fine. But I also don’t have a full real NAND – just the bare minimum to get customs working for testing.
Yes, unfortunately it happens frequently.. I use a dump of my real nand.
November 30, 2016 at 7:19 pm #478298Could you try to have a separate NAND directory that is just the bate minimum to get customs working? Something else must be interfering.
December 1, 2016 at 3:32 am #478302I tried in the past with late 4.0 versions (a few weeks/months before 5.0 release) with a full NAND and I never could get the DLCs to load; only with the bare minimum. I never retried but I would suggest what stack suggested; keeping the bare minimum you don’t need a full NAND for RB3.
December 12, 2016 at 5:05 am #478707I’m having loads of trouble getting customs to work on my Wii, it just doesn’t seem to want to work. If I put the songs in sZAE, it tells me my songs are corrupted, but if I put them in sZFE, it tells me the license has been expired. I’ve reset the cache loads of times by deleting it from WiiXplorer, which I just now figured out how to do. Nothing has been working for me.
I hear talk that there is a wad for sZFE, can anyone assist me on where I can find it and how I can download it?
EDIT: Ok NOW I’ve got the error, after updating my title.tik file, that tells me “add-on content cannot be restored”. I would have expected this to happen to only a few songs because of me editing some of their song IDs, but STILL none of my customs show up!
– Frustrated since September 2015
I like pop, I like soul, I like rock, but I never liked disco.

You can get sZGE.
Install the WAD (watch a YouTube video for this), then use those files to build DLC for yourself. Make sure you have a correct common-key file and ng_id. This tool can help identify any potential problems your folder may have.
December 12, 2016 at 7:01 am #478713One problem it lists that I can’t figure out is the banner file, which the OP says nothing about.
I like pop, I like soul, I like rock, but I never liked disco.
December 12, 2016 at 7:44 pm #478727Banner file? That sounds like Phase Shift files. RB3 does not have banners; only cd covers.

You know something? I figured out that this was the 00000026.app file that I must have deleted a long time ago, so I have all the items working properly according to the customs manager, and it STILL won’t load! I even tried installing the wad files. First I used the wadpacker that came with the DLC packer tool, and all that did was prevent the damn thing from making any more .bins. Then I tried actually installing them in FSToolbox, and all I got was a series of -1022 errors, which made me assume that it actually worked. So after I reset the cache with WiiXplorer, it STILL tells me that it can’t be restored to the Wii System Memory! I legitimately don’t know what I’m doing wrong! What program am I supposed to be using for these wads?!
Before you tell me to use sZGE again, don’t I like have to edit the ticket and tmd files so that they’re also sZGE?
EDIT: I can’t believe it. Tried sZGE. Got the ticket and the tmd files to match. License has expired. I can’t even connect to the Rock Band store anymore.

December 13, 2016 at 2:35 am #478750You don’t need app files or .tik files if you are using the SD method.
You download the sZGE pack; it provides a wad file which you install with any homebrew of your choice.(it will unlock all the slots for that generation; which is a custom generation), then pack your customs with sZGE in the path inside the DTA file in place of the “sZAE”; followed by the slot you wanna use.
If you don’t have any homebrew to install wads look at the first page there’s a link with a homebrew tutorial; it has some tools including that.
app and tik files are for emulated NAND users and Dolphin users.
You don’t need to edit any files except the DTA file.
December 13, 2016 at 2:47 am #478751wad file which you install
Using IOS 248 or 249? They both give me the error code -1022, and the songs still don’t show up under sZFE or sZGE. They both give me “add-on content cannot be restored to the Wii System Memory”.

December 13, 2016 at 3:08 am #478752Are you 100% sure that the folder structure on your SD card is correct and that the path inside the DTA file is also correct; along with the filename?
They need to correspond.

The path for one of my customs reads “dlc/sZGE/054/content/songs/octavarium/octavarium”. So when I pack the song, I get 054.bin. Do I not then place it in private/wii/DATA/sZGE on my SD card?
I like pop, I like soul, I like rock, but I never liked disco.
December 13, 2016 at 3:14 am #478755Should be good. Wish I could help more; I never really used the SD method. All I can confirm is that the WAD installation is supposed to return an error; just can’t quite remember which one exactly.
December 13, 2016 at 4:20 am #478758Ok, can someone please make a video on how to get started?
Is it that I have to install literally all the wads? I tried switching over to my Wii-friendly SD card after trying to do it on an SDHC card, I’ve tried putting them onto my sZAE, sZFE, and sZGE folders! And I’ve successfully installed all the wads given to me, which has completely opened up the music store for me and enabled me to play BYOB, Toxicity, Smooth Criminal, and the RB2 and GDRB exports once again, and still no sign of Wii customs for me!
I don’t want to have to resort to Xbox… because I don’t have one.
Oh, and I went to try the Harmonies Project. It won’t print out the .bins. The songs.dta file in the spoof folder looks like this:
(bringmetolife(name “Bring Me to Life”)(artist “Evanescence”)(master TRUE)(context 748)(song(name dlc/sZBE/319/content/songs/bringmetolife/bringmetolife)(tracks((drum (0 1 2 3))(bass 4)(guitar (5 6))(vocals 7)))…(song_id 1005595)(vocal_tonic_note 4)(song_tonality 1)(rating 1)(album_art FALSE)(year_released 2003)(album_name “Fallen”)(album_track_number 2)(base_points 473356))(byob(name “B.Y.O.B.”)(artist “System of a Down”)(master TRUE)(context 343)(song(name dlc/sZAE/455/content/songs/byob/byob)(vocal_parts 3)(tracks((drum (0 1 2 3))(bass 4)(guitar (5 6))(vocals 7))); K SN CYMBALS BASS GUITAR VOX TRKS…;Added by RBHP Harmoniis from DTB(song_id 1005183)(song_length 261363)(game_origin rb1_dlc)(rating 2)(extra_authoring disc_update);Added from RBHP DTA.(vocal_tonic_note 1)(song_tonality 1))(prequeltothesequel(name “Prequel to the Sequel”)(artist “Between the Buried and Me”)(master TRUE)(context 441)(song(name dlc/sZAE/089/content/songs/prequeltothesequel/prequeltothesequel)(tracks((drum (0 1 2 3))(bass 4)(guitar (5 6))(vocals 7)))…(song_id 1005323)(song_length 329545)(solo (guitar vocal_percussion))(format 10)(game_origin rb1_dlc)(rating 2))(lesstalkmorerokk…(song_length 306611)(format 10)(vocal_tonic_note 2)(song_tonality 1)(song_id 1005617))(getready2rokk(name “Get Ready 2 Rokk”)(artist “Freezepop”)(master TRUE)(context 864)(song…(song_length 173636)(solo (guitar))(format 10)(game_origin rb1_dlc)(vocal_tonic_note 6)(song_tonality 1))(sciencegeniusgirl(name “Science Genius Girl”)(artist “Freezepop”)(master TRUE)(context 865)(song(name dlc/sZCE/305/content/songs/sciencegeniusgirl/sciencegeniusgirl)(tracks((drum (0 1 2 3))(bass 4)(guitar (5 6))(vocals 7)(keys)…(song_length 196363)(format 10)(game_origin rb1_dlc)(vocal_tonic_note 0)(song_tonality 0))(dammit(name “Dammit”)(artist “Blink-182”)(master TRUE)(context 432)(song(name dlc/sZCE/069/content/songs/dammit/dammit)(tracks((drum (0 1 2 3))(bass 4)(guitar (5 6))(vocals 7)(keys))…(vocal_tonic_note 0)(song_tonality 0)(song_id 1005277)(song_length 169545)(solo (vocal_percussion))(format 10)(game_origin rb1_dlc)(rating 2))(panicattack(name “Panic Attack”)(artist “Dream Theater”)(master TRUE)(song_id 297)(song(name “dlc/sZJE/175/content/songs/panicattack/panicattack”)(vocal_parts 3)…;Added by RBHP Harmoniis from DTB(extra_authoring disc_update);Added from RBHP DTA.(vocal_tonic_note 0)(song_tonality 0))And the upgrades.dta file in the upgrades folder looks like this:(bringmetolife(upgrade_version 1)(midi_file “dlc/sZAE/002/content/songs_upgrades/bringmetolife_plus.mid”)(song_id 1005595))(byob(upgrade_version 1)(midi_file “dlc/sZAE/002/content/songs_upgrades/byob_plus.mid”)(song_id 1005183);(rbhp_author non_zero);(rbhp_version 1))(prequeltothesequel(upgrade_version 1)(midi_file “dlc/sZAE/002/content/songs_upgrades/prequeltothesequel_plus.mid”)(song_id 1005323);(rbhp_author Espher);(rbhp_version 1))(lesstalkmorerokk(upgrade_version 1)(midi_file “dlc/sZAE/002/content/songs_upgrades/lesstalkmorerokk_plus.mid”)(song_id 1005617))(getready2rokk(upgrade_version 1)(midi_file “dlc/sZAE/002/content/songs_upgrades/getready2rokk_plus.mid”)(song_id 1005634))(sciencegeniusgirl(upgrade_version 1)(midi_file “dlc/sZAE/002/content/songs_upgrades/sciencegeniusgirl_plus.mid”)(song_id 1005627))(dammit(upgrade_version 1)(midi_file “dlc/sZAE/002/content/songs_upgrades/dammit_plus.mid”)(song_id 1005277);(rbhp_author StackOverflow0x);(rbhp_version 1))(panicattack(upgrade_version 1)(midi_file “dlc/sZAE/002/content/songs_upgrades/panicattack_plus.mid”)(song_id 297);(rbhp_author Espher);(rbhp_version 1))And yes, these songs are all on my SD card.
I used the RB3WiiCustomsManager tool that was sent to me, and got the following error:
The folder: 001_00000001_spoof does not match: 001_ffffffffHas anyone else stumbled upon this? How can I resolve it? I’m just so frustrated by how this whole process has been treating me.
I like pop, I like soul, I like rock, but I never liked disco.
