Alright Sin, I have the Cheat Manager and Code Downloader in my folders but I couldnt find the Rock Band 3 txt in there so I copied and pasted it from the post and made the txt file.the three codes pop up and I hit + to activate them. I tried the Fast Startup and it says:

    /txtcodes/SZBE69.txt

    [sZBE69] Rock Band 3

    Scan Item List…

    $Fast Startup…[OK]

/codes/SZBE69.gct can not open! Press any key exit.

Now I’m guessing that the codes haven’t been made to work since all it really lets me do is exit out without saving anything. Any idea what I can do to get the gct file to be made??

Stand by. Let me see how my SD card looks. I didn’t use Code Downloader, first of all. The Rock Band 3 text was created by Stack himself, so that’s why you won’t see it on a database, per se.

One of the options (on the main list of Rock Band 3 codes to activate) should have been ‘[1] Generate GCT file’. I’m assuming you are doing this step, yes?

That should be all you need to do. Alternately, get rid of your existing GCT file so the program can create a fresh one.

Assuming the program is going to create one from scratch, here’s what should show up (using mine as an example):

    /txtcodes/SZBE69.TXT

    [sZBE69] Rock Band 3

    Scan Item List…

    $Max Songs Limit is 3000 …[OK]

    $Fast Startup …[OK]

    Generate GCT File…

    $Max Songs Limit is 3000 …[OK]

    $Fast Startup …[OK]

/codes/SZBE69.gct generate OK! Press any key exit.

Okay for some odd reason, when I try to go and load the songs onto my Wii, in the game it keeps telling me that when I try to enable SD mode that an unknown error occurred. I’m using an 8GB Memorex SD card, and running the game from CFG Boot Manager. Is there any sort of Homebrew App that I can use to help my problem?

    #477508

Stack told me once that clearing unused software from the Wii itself can fix the problem, for some unknown reason.

    #477511

I just tried to remove some unused software on my Wii Homebrew and even tried to run it through NeoGamma via a burned back-up copy. Still not showing where I can load DLC or anything, or enabling me to switch to SD Card mode. So any other help or advice would be appreciated.

Make sure you have all the IOS files installed from the first post. You can also post a syscheck of your Wii to make sure you have SD card support and RB3 is using it.

I’ve read back over everything and unless I’ve missed it, I didn’t see which IOS files I needed and as far as IOS goes, I have the most recent one installed as well as all prior to it, I think it was IOS254 or later. I’ve got the app and bin files in the designated folder on my SD card.

EDIT: I’ve done some searching and I saw where someone was having an issue with needing to start the game under IOS249, so I’ll see if I can get CFG to boot with that IOS once I can and see if that solves anything. If not, I’ll post with my results.

EDIT 2: So I tried IOS249, and here’s the problem I ran into. Sorry for the poor picture quality. My phone’s camera isn’t all that great

But what IOS files do I need? I’ve read and re-read through the first post and couldn’t find where it says which IOS files. I even did a Ctrl+F search for IOS and there wasn’t anything. In the meantime, I’ll try and do a syscheck when I get the chance next and see if I can post a pic of it or something.

A long time ago I had customs working on my Wii. Now I’m trying to get them working on my Wii U and it’s not working for me. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />

I’m using an emunand in USB Loader GX. I know that the nand is being used, because I’ve deleted the save from my real nand but it still successfully loads from the emunand.

I’ve followed all the steps and put all my .app files into title/00010005/735a4645, but they don’t show up in game. No error message, no freezing, nothing. They’re just not there.

The one thing is that when I delete MSTORE.vff, the game freezes for a few seconds the next time I run it, so something’s definitely trying to load. Does anyone know what’s up?

EDIT: I tried using the cache exporter tool on my MSTORE.vff file and none of the customs were in there.

EDIT II: I gave up and I’m not using the emunand, just the SD card method. It works ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Actually, it’s kind of hard to tell. But your syscheck should match this. Probably one of those USB2.0 ones. 249 is the one you need to boot the game with.

Wii U is a bit different and I don’t know too much about it. You need to install the WAD for the content generation you’re trying to use. But if SD works… Maybe it was being misread as the PAL version.

What does the cheat file that you’re trying to use look like? Might be a formatting error.

Alright, So I got it running, I missed adding a codes folder for the file to go in. Opened up the game and I had 1008 songs <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

            Sweet!

Keep a watch out for scores from previously played songs. Over time as more songs get added, you will start to see them disappear. Leaderboards will still know rankings on their end, but to you affected scores will be like you have played the song for the very first time.

If you have any achievements that rely on just Rock Band 3 disc songs, do those now with/without autoplay before you progress further, because scores can start to disappear from disc songs, too. Turning SD Card mode off at the title screen will help in this effort.

Happy playing though, as my 1342 songs can testify.

I’ve been trying to make sZGE work on Dolphin 5; however with no success. (This also happens on 2 other 4.9xxx versions)

If only the ticket and the 00000001.app and title.tmd files are in place dolphin will load all slots as expected (493 of them). However; when I pack a custom the DLC loading will loop; first it’ll load 493; then will re-load 491 of them and just repeat the process forever.

I’ve tried using meta slot 002 (00000002) and 003 (00000003), no luck, same result.

            Any ideas?

Start at 00000003 to be sure. Also, unflag the content you don’t need so you can speed up the process. I remember someone wanted this part explained some more. Here are the relevant bytes in the ticket file.

1 byte has 8 bits which enable the content in slots 1-8 load. That’s about how it works. What you’d want to do is leave the first 2 or 3 as FF, then make the rest 00 so Dolphin doesn’t misread it as trying to load 493 contents.

              #477614

Thanks for the detailed explaination about the tickets.

So I just tried with 00000003/00000004, 00000004/00000005 and 00000005/00000006, all same result.

I’ve seen official slots that the hex filename doesn’t correspond to the slot in decimal inside the DTA file (example: sZAE/123 = 0000007b while sZAE/125 = 0000007e) so I was wondering if it could be that.
