You’re probably looking at the Legacy Database, which you are correct, the releases stopped in support of RB4 (I think, someone correct me if I’m wrong).
You want to go to the Customs Database, just go to the top of the page, and right below the site logo, are some tabs.
Click on “Customs”, and that will take you to the current database.
Oh I see. I was always using http://www.pksage.com/songlist/?sc=C3 as the database where I got my songs. Guess I can’t do that anymore.
I will try what you said. Thanks. Its been a while since I’ve been here. I’m still using the manual method of packing songs. Hehe
May 26, 2016 at 1:28 pm #469343So, after having so enormous success with Dolphin on everything I finally decided to tackle DLCs/Customs on it.
I’m very not lucky. I’ve tried with different revisions, NAND files from the OP, my own, even those from a user here that posted them on this very thread to healp someone, nada.
I’ve gotten 3 different situations while trying different combinations of revisions and NAND files:
1-Game ignores DLCs and carries on.
2-Game says wii system memory is full, ignoring DLCs and savegames.
3-Game loads 14 DLCs even though I only added one, but once inside the song library, still sitting at 83.
Number 3 only happened with the NAND files in OP, and in whichever revision I used. Can anyone halp?
I would also like to know which files are absolutely needed from the Dolphin file pack on OP if I use my own NAND to keep serial/savegame.
May 26, 2016 at 3:57 pm #469347I actually tried this myself on another system earlier and was surprised it didn’t work. I need to find out what is missing. But first, what build of Dolphin are you using?
May 26, 2016 at 3:59 pm #469348I tried the latest(4.0-9392) and the oldest that was said to work with the WiiU GC Controller adapter, which is I believe 4.0-4599, and some random revisions in between. To be honest IDC which revision works, as long as it’s one that I can use the MPA.
May 27, 2016 at 3:37 am #469367Yeah, DLC has been confirmed working for several thousand revisions by now. It’s just down to some odd issue I’m not aware of. I’ll look into this more.
May 27, 2016 at 10:47 am #469377Anything I can do to help find the issue?
May 27, 2016 at 6:48 pm #469396Maybe try installing a system menu in Dolphin? I can’t know for sure yet.
May 27, 2016 at 8:10 pm #469399Install a system menu to boot from it, or just to have it in there?
When I tried with my own NAND dump the whole system was there (4.3U), and there was no difference, though I’m down to try with a fresh system menu.
May 27, 2016 at 8:45 pm #469403Just to have, I think. Because I have a very minimal setup. And I think a full NAND dump didn’t work for me at first as well.
May 28, 2016 at 1:49 pm #469433So I tried with a system menu, and nada, same results; depending on which nand files I use wii memory is full or it loads 14 songs without having 14 songs in there, and of course, those ghost songs and the one that is actually there won’t show up.
Yesterday night though, I went and tested connection stability through Dolphin and played a couple of hours online (played pro bass on dolphin, felt weird to actually be able to read correctly the tabs o.o gotta hate the native low resolution…) and it’s pretty damn stable!
If I ever get dlcs/customs working on dolphin, I won’t have a reason to keep my wii anymore
May 28, 2016 at 10:38 pm #469462Okay, I just got a fresh install up and running on my slow laptop.
Here are some of the files I used.
The game save is not included and neither is DLC. At the very least, you should see the progress bar on the main menu. See if it works with DLC for you.
May 29, 2016 at 12:59 am #469478Man this is frustrating…
I downloaded the last revision (to have a fresh dolphin) and used your files. At first I tried with an official DLC, game complains about wii system memory at boot. Then for the hell of it I tried without any DLCs, and guess what, game still complains about wii system memory…
My luck is bad. lol
What revision did you use?
May 29, 2016 at 5:59 am #469492I used 4.0-9399.
Downloading a new revision doesn’t count as a new NAND, so the same errors should have been expected. Erase everything (except your save) in the Wii folder found under the “Dolphin Emulator” folder in your Documents. Then drop in my files and try again. My files will enable sZAE/001 and sZAE/002 and you should see the progress bar on the menu.
May 29, 2016 at 12:25 pm #469503Well, sure, if you don’t change the NAND’s path it won’t work, but if you do, you have a new NAND ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />.
Nonetheless, retried with deleting all the files that comes with the new NAND and adding you files, my savegame, and a DLC packed for sZAE/001, and the only change was that the space is asked to clear was a bit bigger. Yesterday is asked for 96 blocks and now for 112.
I really have no idea what I’m doing wrong…
EDIT: Okey, I tried with the 5499 revision, just for the hell of it, and there was a different result: Game loads fine, but DLC doesn’t load…. *screams intensly*
I noticed that the game doesn’t even create a cache, is that normal behavior for dolphin?
EDIT2: Okey that’s weird. Alucard (or something near it?) gave me his working files, and it worked with those using his way (creating a portable.exe at the root of the dolphin folder, doing that creates a User folder, and using the NAND inside that folder, with his files added).
I will test it further, tested with a single DLC, it worked but strangely it still loads 14 packs, while there’s only one, that is kind of strange to me lol
Edit3: Tested with around 250 dlcs, it works!!! I don’t know why your way didn’t work and his did, afterall the only variable was that portable.txt file and that user folder it created, and the NAND in there seemed about the same as the one that’s the originally.. at least it works now I’m a happy man lol
May 29, 2016 at 7:24 pm #469521Ok. So I have a new problem I’ve never had before. I am trying to make bin files 108 and 109 (for RB3) but for some reason packdlc.bat not only makes 108 and 109 but also 110, 111, 112, and 113. ???
