I tried the Manager, and it said that the ID and key (and everything else) was fine.
I did do a SysCheck just now, and this is the log from it:
You need IOS 249. Download and install d2x for this.
I created a .txt file for the cheats myself. Is that wrong? I named it “SZBP69” with this in it:
I suspect that one problem could be that while cheat 2 and 3 have their names displayed in the loader, the first one doesn’t (just the first numbers/letters of the cheat).
The problem is: I need the first cheat to work. If I start without cheats, the game crashes when I enter the song select screen because I have so many songs (the new generation worked), with cheats it already crashes in the main menu.
Cheats off, no SD card: Game works
Cheats on, no SD card: Game crashes (Main Menu)
Cheats off, with SD card: Game crashes (Song Select screen)
Cheats on, with SD card: Game crashes (Main Menu)
(Cheats on/off goes for ALL cheats, no matter which ones I activate e.g. just 2&3 or just 1)
Oh, and if the whole thing has anything to do with the WAD I installed for the sZGP generation, you maybe should know that I installed it with IOS 236 because 249 kept disconnecting my Wiimote. I start Rock Band with IOS 248.
Not using 249? Can only mean you don’t have d2x and IOS 249 installed. Get that installed, and you should be able to use IOS 249 for the game without a problem.
The cheat format likely isn’t correct. I know it’s hard to find any information on this anymore, so it’s tough to know for sure. Digging around my files, I think I used this to load the codes.

That was saved as a .txt file and put into a codes folder as instructed here. Then, in the loader, they should show up sort of like in this video. So definitely remove the $ symbols and comments since those seem to only apply to Gecko codes for Dolphin.

Just installed IOS 249 with d2x, and I still get the same error. Maybe I installed the wrong variation of it?

April 1, 2016 at 10:26 am #466292Alright, everything works. The cheats are running fine (no crashes in the Main Menu anymore) and I’ve now been able to install the WAD and run the game with mic and keyboard with IOS 249. There’s just one problem left:
The game still crashes on the Song Select screen if I have the SD card inserted.
I highly suspect this has to do with sZGP itself, because I removed the folder from my SD card and everything worked just fine. It has to be a problem concerning my folder, I guess? Is there something I have to do differently here than normal? Which number should I give the first folder as there is no sample song folder included with this download?

Yeah, you definitely can’t do this by going through the regular disc launcher. Either dump your game to an external hard drive, or use a USB loader to boot from the disc. The important part is, it needs to start the game under IOS249.

You would start at 003 for that content gen. But, a crash like that still could imply something is wrong with a DTA. Does the crash still happen if only one song is being loaded from sZGP?
April 1, 2016 at 5:05 pm #466311I’ve tested it with only one song now, and it seems to work fine. Maybe it was me giving the wrong number to a folder. I’ll give feedback when I try it with all songs, but thank you very much for now!

Just downloaded USB Loader GX, changed all the settings so that IOS 249 is used to launch the game. I launched it from the disc loader in the usb loader with that set (after deleting the cache again just in case) and I still get the error.
Like I said before, maybe I installed the wrong IOS 249?
EDIT: Works now, thanks for all your help!
April 3, 2016 at 5:34 am #466399Hi, I’m here again!! Now that RB4 Dlc is being released all weeks, I visit here every day, downloading the new tracks and every time afraid they could be pulled out any moment…
I’m here because I have two question to be answered if possible off course.
First and new question :
Can Stack tell me if there’s a way to raise the limit for custom songs above 3000?? Cheating?
Second question:
Did the customs(c3 included) lack the keyboard’ e/or keyboardist’s animation at all, I mean all of them!
and if it is this way, did this happen because Wii lacks a “substitute” for title update 4 that xbox 360 had, Or maybe the animation is okay but do not plays correct only when we play the custom on WII.
Thanks for the help and answears from anyone!!
Bye!

I’ve now tested it with all songs, and it seems like it was indeed just one single song where something was wrong. Everything else works fine now, so thanks again for your help!

You can modify the last line of the cheat to raise the limit even more. I can’t recommend this though because if you didn’t have any problems at 3000, expect problems past 3000. I don’t know how the game would react.
For your second question, animations when the Keyboard player is out are only supported through venues compiled into the milo. These haven’t entirely been figured out, but this only happens because the Wii is basically on the day 1 version of the game whereas the other console versions got updates to allow midi venues to support this feature, which is for RBN2.

Is exactly this I was thinking, Wii version is like Rockband 3 xbox360 tu o (no title updates). Maybe someday we will have that. In the meantime, we enjoy all we can have !! Don’t worry about Raising the amount of soungs supported for me because dolphin is my testing field!! The line I have to modify is thid one
(blackened out):
$Max Songs Limit is 3000208FBEDC 000003E8048FBEDC 00000BB8E0000000 00000000I change the number “3” there to “4”??PS: I’m happy to say the cheat to turn drums in keyboiard works very well in dolphin I was able to unlock achievements…in the KEYS! Very good! Thank you!!April 5, 2016 at 5:34 am #466531No, the second line is the new limit. It’s in hexadecimal. 0BB8 = 3000.
Again, careful with that. The game only has a finite amount of room to store songs. I think expected side effects would be scores being forgotten or songs starting to disappear.
April 5, 2016 at 3:27 pm #466546When it comes to the license unblocked songs cheat, that one always gave me freezes, so I just skipped it entirely. Honestly, the raise limit cheat (a modified variant supplied by the user Alternity to be compatible with my Wii) and fast startup and autoplay cheats are my go-tos.
Autoplay has been helping me catch up in my library of 1061 songs. Just drums and pro drums to go, and then I can go back to adding more customs and actually playing them, for fun instead of auto-score maxing.
Since autoplay for drums doesn’t play the final fill note (any notes hit while the green lane is highlighted don’t count towards score, as well), and the song becomes littered with fill lanes (because overdrive can’t be activated in autoplay), I’ll need to find somebody to play online so they can cue their own overdrives to help out my score. Some songs can only get 4 stars because of this caveat.
Oh, and I can confirm that scores get forgotten as a side effect of the raise limit cheat. It’s handy to turn SD card mode off when completing achievements for RB3 songs as a result of this.
April 5, 2016 at 11:45 pm #466568You deleted your DLLs. Get them again from the packer download.
Update to this again. I’ve found a table of bits that change what each “button” on a controller does. I can append the bits for the cymbals to it and it should work. Try this cheat, with caution.
$Hit Pro Cymbals on Standard Drums
047F0B34 00000480
047F0B38 00000640Right now, that cheat should make the Pro blue and green cymbals hittable with their corresponding colors on regular drums. Or not. I couldn’t find yellow on this table because it might be an issue with the Guitar Hero drums configuration. But this is closer – if it’s not double-hitting and breaking combo.
I just tried this, and when I did Pro Drums, I couldn’t hit the blue or green cymbal notes. I’m pretty sure I did everything correctly. I have RB1 drums if that makes a difference.

Don’t worry about the problems i’m like a cheat kamikaze in here, everything is properly backed up so I can throw these knives out. Stack Can you tell me the name of the folder I can use past 735a4945(sZIE)? Tried 735a5445 with sZNE and it didn’t work. I did not try sZJE .KE.LE ME because it already exists and is RB3 official DLC gen then i’m sure it will not work; Maybe 735a4e45??sorry i’m a sucker in decimal and hexadecimal.I’m always grateful for your instructions.without you I’ll never enjoy my official e custom dlc from my dead WII;

Do other cheats work? This is hard to test and I believe this should have worked based on the tests I could do.

Are you really all out of room in sZGE and sZHE? The reason other content generations don’t exist beyond that is that I didn’t have success in getting DLC read from any of those. I know it is possible, but I just couldn’t do it.That’s not to say I tried every letter from M to Z, but if sZIE didn’t work, I don’t know what would be different.
