The biggest difference I can see is that the TMD doesn’t have anything after the content data. I don’t know why that would make a difference. But at least it handles the hash and sizes part for you to only expand the TMD as you go along.
March 13, 2016 at 5:41 pm #465224A moment in in my own stupidity, Stack:
I was missing 416.bin on the SD card. 417.bin is accounted for. Copying 416.bin over to the appropriate spot on the SD card should fix it. D’oh!
EDIT: The game is deleting 416.bin. I’ll have to take both off and re-add to find out what’s going on.
EDIT: That didn’t work either. Still deleting 416.bin. I’m about to call this one a loss. Moving on.
March 13, 2016 at 6:35 pm #465225It would only be deleting it if the DTA path is bad and doesn’t match the next BIN over, which is 417. I know it’s rare, but if you enable hidden files in Windows, is there a file that shouldn’t be in there? That’s been the cause of problems. Another rare issue is if the DTA is encoded differently. I think a way to check for that is if you open it in a hex editor and you don’t see text on the right side in a way it should appear.
March 13, 2016 at 9:25 pm #465236No hidden files located.
As for the hex, text does indeed appear on the right. I’m looking at the songs.dta file, correct?
March 14, 2016 at 12:38 am #465244Yeah. So if it’s not any of those issues, could you send the problem files as you have them? There has to be a solution.
March 14, 2016 at 3:03 am #465248I’ll send them/it tomorrow afternoon. Opening shift in the morning.
For now, I’ve moved on to Wii-converting all the non-C3 Taylor Swift songs currently in the new database (for a friend) and Polkadot Cadaver’s “Pure Bedlam for Halfbreeds” (a high quality-produced custom; kudos to that author) with complete success. This burp aside, I now have 1061 (across RB3, RB2, RBN, Custom, Green Day, and Music Store) songs at my disposal.
March 14, 2016 at 3:43 am #465251Stuttering/Choking in-game should be happening using the Emulator? I mean, I can encode the music into the maximum quality without having any problems in-game?
March 14, 2016 at 4:56 am #465253Emulator seems to handle high-quality audio without issue.
Now, who’s ready to live on the cutting edge. The Customs Manager tool I said I would be working on is back from the dead. Now it can do (almost) everything the old pack tool could do. It’s still very rough.
If I did it right, correct setups should report no errors. If you do have common errors, those will show up in red below. You can peek at the customs you have on a per-folder basis. What’s coming: View more song info. Automatically add downloaded customs without fuss. Report potential size issues and delete previews or album arts as necessary. And maybe more, if I can.
March 14, 2016 at 11:22 pm #465307Thank you for this thread it was helpful.
March 15, 2016 at 12:12 am #465311For the last time, it’s a customs thread, not a “how to rip songs from RB1 disc or download them for free and import them” thread. Please stick to customs discussions.
March 15, 2016 at 1:55 am #465318Alright, so I’m a bit confused. I downloaded Tarkus from the database and the file size is <30MB but I'm still having trouble with it in game. I packed it with Lucky Man and everything is under the 40 and 400 size limits. Lucky Man plays fine but Tarkus freezes before the song starts. What could be causing this?
March 15, 2016 at 2:46 am #465320If it’s freezing before the song starts, are all the song files in place? Does the DTA match the audio configuration for the track?
March 15, 2016 at 3:00 am #465322If it’s freezing before the song starts, are all the song files in place? Does the DTA match the audio configuration for the track?
To my untrained eye everything looks good.

March 15, 2016 at 4:28 am #465328Hi stackoverflowox, sorry for the late reply.
I think i have found a way to make the .app playable on emunand.
this has 2 songs:
the bird and the worm – the used
cirice – ghost
https://www.mediafire.com/?q2a7g9twgpy23x7
if your sZFE title.tmd is unmodified (acquired from rb3) just paste this on your title 0010005 ..no songs will be overwritten, just the title.tmd and 00000026.app only, the songs that you got from rb3 dlcs will stay. and you don’t need to reset your cache.
For those that will try, please post your results or problems. so that i can dig more deeper to find the solution for our problem. Thanks.
PS.
this has the tools that i used in editing title.tmd, so have fun experimenting ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Hi sanmaino, BlazeFer here, confirmed your modified title.tmd to work on emunand!
However, I didnt use your 2 songs, I made 2 merged packs, 1 with 2 songs, and the other one with 20 songs, replaced with the ones that you brought, so i just needed the 00000026.app and title.tmd (the modified one), these are the details:
Console: Wii
System: 4.3U, d2x v10 beta 52 cios 249 ios base 56
Resseted the song cache, game loaded both content without any issues!
I started to play some songs on keys, and they worked fine!
Thats all i can say, wish i could fix some problems i have on emunand thou…
March 15, 2016 at 5:15 am #465331To my untrained eye everything looks good.
Loads fine for me. Make sure you’re not missing any important files, like the milo file.
