You have version 2.5n/1.100n of the Bink Tools.
The latest Bink version is 2.5n/1.100n!
You have the latest version!
Looks like it’s probably not a Bink 2 problem. It should be using regular Bink, which means it’s looking for binkc.exe. Do you have that set in RockBiink? The default batch files RAD Video Tools make seem to all cd into the working directory, which is probably better so as to avoid the errors from running the script from the message prompt. I’ll look into this a bit more.
March 8, 2016 at 4:52 pm #464930Yes, I was using Biinkc in the program. I did check the name of the exe before trying to run the tool. I thought maybe my problem was because I was trying to run it from a folder on my desktop, so I moved the folder to the root of C: and when it still didn’t work I tried it from the root of with no luck.
Also, on the Wii version of Fall Out Boy – The Take Over, The Break’s Over, I am getting Hi-Hat gems where there should be snare drum gems. Is that a common issue or did I do something wrong?

I know there is something called a “Disco flip” where they switch the hi-hat and snare gems, so that might be what you’re seeing.
March 9, 2016 at 3:43 am #464952Thanks Blaze…..must not be looking in the right spots….everything I google about the vwii nand says it can’t be written to…..
I have wiixplorer r259 and an empty mstore.vff file. I can’t access the data folder in the nand to replace the file.
I’d attach some pics but don’t know how.
The files just show up as what looks like a piece of paper with the corner folded, not a folder.
and yes, I did turn nand writing access on. HELP !!!!
Hehe, forgot to tell you, thats normal on vWII, what you have to do is place the mstore.vff inside subfolders, the structure is this: title 0010000535a4245datamstore.vff
then you replace the title folder (the blank file in the vWii nand) with this folder, and dont worry, its safe since it only replace the mstore file. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Ahhh the subtle differences……I’ll give that a try later….thanks
I tried that method, and I got an error:
Failed copying some item(s)
thought that might be normal as well, so I restarted the game and no difference…
is there anything else you’re (Blaze) not telling me?????
March 9, 2016 at 6:49 pm #464972I’ve only had this happen infrequently. Hard to figure out why. If you dump and open your song cache in a hex editor, can you find the song name anywhere?
The song name is indeed in the Mstore.vff file after peeking at the file with a hex editor.
What should I do to make it appear in-game, then?

Does it tell you what path it should be under? Working content should have the generation and BIN number next to each other. If this one doesn’t have one, that would be really odd. But the expected result should be that its path is wrong and you can fix it there.
March 10, 2016 at 3:32 pm #465010Poking around for 416 turned up the following string:
“dlc/sZFE/416/content/songs/sosad/sosad”
This reflects the appropriate edit to the songs.dta for packing. At least there wasn’t a freeze at the loading bar for this one.
And here’s the songs.dta in question:

Weird because I just tested it on a clean system with the latest RAD Video Tools you can download. The sample batch file gave me an error about bink.exe not being found, which was expected, because it needed binkc.exe. But after that, everything ran fine. Have you tried running the script through the UI in radvideo.exe?

I just tested that DTA and it shows up without any issue. It might be an error somewhere else. Have you done a check for parentheses? A simple search should tell you how many instances of each there are in the file. If it’s not the same, that would be the problem. Otherwise, it would be much harder to track and find out which line in the DTA is invalid.
March 11, 2016 at 5:10 am #465054How many parentheses should there be in any given songs.dta? I once did a comparison of a faulty song (like Dare to be Stupid) with a working song (like Mad World) and I couldn’t notice a difference. Does the Wii Converter sometimes generate not enough or too much parentheses?
March 11, 2016 at 6:17 am #465056You should note that it should find the same number of left parentheses as it does for right parentheses. If this is the problem, it could have happened at any point. That much is unclear.
March 11, 2016 at 1:44 pm #465072I found 64 ‘(‘ and 64 ‘)’.
March 11, 2016 at 10:31 pm #465101Well, only one thing left to do. Start taking songs out until the problem goes away, then try splitting them up.
March 12, 2016 at 3:50 pm #465161I only pack one at a time (not space efficient, probably), so no splitting necessary. I should be able to just delete the song’s files from the SD card and try again, I think.
March 12, 2016 at 10:41 pm #465184Perhaps you are on to something. The closest I work with emunand is for Dolphin, where the hashes are ignored. It’s possible the game is rejecting your content because the TMD data is technically incorrect. Makes me wonder what everyone else is doing to get emunand working. You can try to manually correct the TMD size and hash for a matching pair of meta and song folders. If that works, I think a more scaleable solution is feasible for emunand use.
Hi stackoverflowox, sorry for the late reply.
I think i have found a way to make the .app playable on emunand.
this has 2 songs:
the bird and the worm – the used
cirice – ghost
https://www.mediafire.com/?q2a7g9twgpy23x7
if your sZFE title.tmd is unmodified (acquired from rb3) just paste this on your title 0010005 ..no songs will be overwritten, just the title.tmd and 00000026.app only, the songs that you got from rb3 dlcs will stay. and you don’t need to reset your cache.
For those that will try, please post your results or problems. so that i can dig more deeper to find the solution for our problem. Thanks.
PS.
this has the tools that i used in editing title.tmd, so have fun experimenting ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
