I’ve just decided what song I want to do for my next custom. The problem is that the song begins before the downbeat. If I placed the first beat on 3.1.00 like usual, every downbeat in the song will fall on 3.2.00 and it makes the count in sound wrong. This is obviously less than ideal.
For now, what I’ve done is put the downbeat on 3.1.00. This means the song actually starts on 2.4.00. To accommodate, I’ve taken the last stick.wav out. This way, it sounds like this (italics are stick clicks, bold is the song):
one, two, one two three four ONE two three four ONE two three four
I think this sounds pretty good, but I’m curious if there’s an established way of dealing with it that I should use instead.
Thanks!
Yes, that is exactly the correct solution.
Excellent, thank you!
