Currently I have a 4gig Xbox and two jump drives. One 16gig the other 8gig. On the Xbox I keep TBRB with all of Orange Harrisons Beatles multitracks. The 16gig is all of C3s multitrack releases and multitrack forum releases broken up as C3 Multitrack Pack 1 – 4, Spindoctor Pack 01, Nunchuck Pack 01, and Multitrack Forum Pack 1 – 4. The 8 gig is standard full band customs broken up as C3 Pack 1 -4 and one huge Standard Forum Pack.
Looking to hear if there is a better way to organize this that I’m just not seeing. In the past I’ve had it broken down two other ways. First was C3 packs being broke up as their weekly Pack/Album names went with lots of Singles Pack 01 – XX and forum releases by Weekly Pack 01 – XX. I didn’t like that either. After to that I went and broke everything in to band packs with singles packs mixing both official and forum. Obviously with my newest scheme I didn’t like the band pack arrangement either lol.
Probably sounds like an odd problem but it’s driving me crazy.
June 21, 2014 at 6:19 am #423118I keep all my songs, game exports, dlc and customs on my xbox HDD. Obviously you need more than a 4GB HDD for that. I have almost everything packed into 4GB packs to cut down on loading time.
June 21, 2014 at 6:21 am #423120I have all my songs packed by band so all my A band songs are in 2 packs (cuz I have more than 4 gigs worth) all my B band songs are packed together etc…

I have everything on my HDD. RB3 takes up around 30GBs for me (though 8GBs is the game itself as I’ve installed it to my HDD). I am using a 80GB HDD. Thinking about getting a 250GB HDD some-day. But I don’t know if they make HDDs for the model I’m using.
I also tend to package files together though not always…
June 22, 2014 at 7:41 pm #423266They make 320GBs for both models. Either will run you about $50-$70.

June 22, 2014 at 8:22 pm #423269Oh yeah. You have the fat models, with the big flat HDDs. Then the slims, which used the smaller insertable HDD. And then the E model which came out last year. The last two use the same hard drives though.

I have an original model X360 (though I got it after the RRoD fix was installed so it isn’t that old). I’ll be needing to find a ‘fat HDD’.
June 22, 2014 at 8:59 pm #423275This would probably be your best choice. Not bad considering how expensive they used to be.
June 22, 2014 at 9:08 pm #423277I have an original Xbox 360, with two HDD’s. One is the regular drive with gold, proper saves, etc.
The other is the customs drive which gets swapped out if ever I am playing them.
June 23, 2014 at 7:19 am #423320I’m the video guy, so my selection is always in flux. Every piece of HMX and RBN DLC is sitting on the hard drive as well as the disk install, and I use a single 4GB USB to store customs on. As far as managing which songs get inserted, I have a root folder containing every custom I have, separated by game if they come from GH or past RBs, as well as a C3 folder that groups songs into further folders if they have albums or three or more songs, and lastly there is a folder for other customs I hang on to, whether on these forums, the repository or the 360 ISO forums.
June 23, 2014 at 1:12 pm #423327120GB 360 hard drive for official songs, 16GB stick for finalized/officially released customs, and a 2GB stick for my WIP customs and transferring new stuff onto the other stick (‘the mule’).
