I’m totally cool with genre/theme packs as well. We had one pencilled in for launch but ran into some problems with the tracks so it got deferred, but I know we’re definitely open to the concept.
May 3, 2013 at 3:11 pm #399134Cool thing about the collective: you’re your own author. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”> I’d advise to do what you like best, so you don’t burn out. However, personally I love packs, and planning artists or theme packs leaves the door open for the pack itself or for singles, as Nyx has been doing for ELO.

July 6, 2013 at 5:27 pm #402757I’m back. Kinda. Bouncing between obligations and Moby right now.
As I get caught up, I’m gonna open up the Century of Jazz project for collabs and contributions, if there’s any Sinatra or Miles Davis or anything like that people were contemplating.
July 7, 2013 at 7:22 pm #402794I cant really contribute but would love some Miles Davis…big fan of his doo bop period.
July 18, 2013 at 2:37 pm #403194Hey, sorry if you’re busy, but I saw you were doing a song by Big Star, and I was actually considering a track pack involving them and an act they’re associated with. (The Posies, since both frontmen became honorary members of Big Star in the 90s, up until Alex Chilton’s death.) Would you be up for a colab?

What about a Posies and Friends set, The Posies/Big Star/The Minus 5? I believe Jon and Ken have been in The Minus 5 all the way through their history. I could probably whip up “
” outside of vocals pretty easy, if you’d be willing to take that part. (I have, like, no concept of absolute pitch.)

Alright, I’ll send you a PM.
July 22, 2013 at 7:21 pm #403375I’d like to collaborate on They Might Be Giants songs, whether it’s each of us independently authoring songs for a pack or working together on individual songs. My weakest point is drums, but I’m an excellent author of vocals and guitar and do okay on bass and keys/PK. Unfortunately, I can’t say for sure when I’ll be able to start such a collab, but I wanted to put out feelers.
My personal priorities would be “Ana Ng”, “Doctor Worm” (or helping the FtV process along?), and maybe “Experimental Film”. I think for sanity’s sake we’d be better off doing a 3-, 4-, or 5-pack, but I can pitch in individual instruments for more if you want to do a megapack.

Collab would make it easier to go past just the stuff I have MIDI for and into Join Us/Nanobots. I’m eventually gonna megapack them, in that I’m gonna release a shitload of their stuff, but it’s more of gradual large packs (like, 6 tracks each) than one huge thing.

July 25, 2013 at 11:31 pm #403497Is there any chance you can check your PMs? I messaged you almost a week ago with no response.
