Hello all, apologies if this issue has already been covered or there is another thread for these sort of problems.
So last night my Hofner bass developed a fault with the upstrum. It feels fine and I lack the technological terms to describe it better but it seems like the sensor gets stuck and I have to strum down to unstick it. That only lasts a few seconds though. If you go back to the music library screen it’s as if you are keeping the strummer held up so it scrolls really quickly until you downstrum to cancel it.
I’ve seen that there are replacements strummers which I’m not opposed to getting (despite shipping from US to UK) but I’d like to work out if a, that will solve the issue and b, whether there’s another test / fix without replacing the strummer.
If anyone has any advice then it would be much appreciated.
I had an upstrum issue with an RB2 guitar. I replaced the strumbar but it didn’t fix the problem. Sorry, that’s not very helpful. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
No, that is useful. I’m in the diagnosis phase at the moment so if replacing the strum bar didn’t fix your issue maybe it’s something else. I’ve seen second hand ones for sale for about £40 but would rather fix my one if I can. I really could do without dropping £40 if I can avoid it.
I think I’m going to open it up and see if there’s anything blindingly obvious.
