Just thought it was hilarious. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

May 2, 2015 at 1:21 am #444346I see I’m not the only one who was going over the video with a fine toothed comb.
It shows they’re still charting harmonies, at least, which they’d never actually confirmed.
–edit–
Also, the song they were showing in the scroll was just Rize of the Fenix.

I wouldn’t be that surprised if Harmonies returned. They haven’t really deconfirmed it, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it returned.
Also, what’s this “MARKUP” track at 0:38. It has notes representing chords, it seems, and text events like “[scale def]” and “[scale V7]” and “[root Gb]” or at least I THINK it’s “[root Gb]”. There’s also one that’s “[root A]” at the far left.
See for yourself. This is the MARKUP track.
I saw someone theorize this to be the new keys track, although they said they weren’t working on keys atm, and I see no reason for them to change the system like this. Maybe this is part of the system and I just don’t remember. I’ve never seen anything like this. Any thoughts or comments on this?
I personally originally theorized this to be some sort of VENUE control. But with text events like “scale” and “root”, I don’t know, anymore.
May 2, 2015 at 1:56 am #444350Another interesting thing that isn’t necessarily hard to miss but is still worth pointing out…
Stage Presence!!

That sine wave immediately made my mind thing “THEREMIN PART IN ROCK BAND YES!” ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” /> Obviously just joking around, although I am curious of what that exactly is, as that looks like something they’d put in Rock Band Blitz.
May 2, 2015 at 5:24 am #444372Knowing just how it works from a customs end, this has to be somewhat encouraging as far as what the format of the new songs will be. I don’t see anything drastically different. Drums look the same. Standard EMHX is still there, fills are the same, pro tom markers. Even the on screen drum layout looks basically the same.
Obviously getting custom tracks in the game is a whole upcoming challenge to attempt, but at least the way they’re making these songs appears to basically be what they’ve always done. Nothing appears to have revolutionarily changed. Obviously there could be measures implemented to prevent customs entirely, but looking at what GH is doing, the RB4 midis appear at a glance to basically be the same as before.
If RB4 has a way to get customs in there somehow, it looks like it could be a fairly simple process converting them. Or not. Whatever. I don’t fucking know.
I guess who really expected anything different when they said old DLC will work.
Pretty damn funny seeing that URL though.
