So you have a video game that lets you create a superband. You can pick your top 5 vocalists from any era to front your band simply based on voice only, not stage presence or charisma. Also, it would be when they were at their best, not like picking David Lee Roth now vs in the 80s.
Mine would be in order
1) Bruce Dickinson (Iron Maiden)
2) John Bush (Anthrax/Armored Saint)
3) Bon Scott (AC/DC)
4) Stephen Pearcy (Ratt)
5) Chris Cornell (Soundgarden)
I guess this round we will do Rock and Roll as the genre – So you are creating a rock/metal super group
May 21, 2020 at 8:57 pm #511627This needs more rules to be truly interesting, otherwise it’s just gonna be a “here are my five favorite singers” list.
What’s the set list, for example? I’d add that rule in and limit it to three vocalists. Tough decisions to stock your arsenal!

OK – Well mine is obviously of the Rock genre – but don’t want to limit people. Lets say for this round we go with modern Rock n Roll I guess – lol
May 21, 2020 at 9:02 pm #511629You need to compile some sort of list of wildly varied and widely known songs, with the rule that the choices on your personal list can’t sing their actual songs.
So if I had Axel Rose on my personal list (and he definitely would not be), and Sweet Child of Mine were on the thread set list, I’d have to choose a different singer from my roster to perform that song.
May 22, 2020 at 12:50 am #511633think a better rule limit would be what you consider a superband. superbands are usually listed as bands put together with memebers of other bands..temple of a dog, audioslave etc.
May 22, 2020 at 1:49 am #511637I only need one. Chino Moreno.

2) Aretha Franklin
3) Mama Cass
4) Janis Joplin
5) Adele
Yep, I really prefer women voices, although here I focused only on English-singing vocalists, otherwise on the top of my list would be Antonella Ruggiero from Italy.
For equal opportunities, here’s also a list of male vocalists:
1) Freddy Mercury
2) Robert Plant
3) Bruce Dickinson
4) James la Brie
5) Devin Townsend
but again if Italians are allowed, then the first spot would be taken by Demetrio Stratos, and the third by John De Leo.
May 23, 2020 at 6:47 pm #511670In no particular order cause I cant decide…
Bruce Dickinson
Freddy Mercury
Robert Plant
Eddie Vedder
Ann Wilson
