Hello, I literally just got started into tracking songs using reaper and Magma.
Now, I am getting these Errors on Magma I cant figure out whats wrong…
can someone please help me?!
It says “Difficulty expert: Gem at [19] is only 0.00 seconds into the song: Gems cannot appear before 2.45 seconds into the song.”
I have absolutely nothing that early, the first notes don’t even hit till way down the measures due to a long intro. I just cant figure this out….
March 2, 2015 at 1:14 am #439594Check that you haven’t lowered the velocity of your MIDI tracks, it’s a red line that you may have dragged to the bottom of a track.
March 2, 2015 at 1:25 am #439598I don’t believe that is the issue… Like I said I am brand new too all of this. Is there a way I could attach images and show you how I have my reaper tracks set?
March 2, 2015 at 1:26 am #439599That sounds like you don’t have a BEAT track or you don’t have an EVENTS track.
March 2, 2015 at 1:30 am #439600I do have a BEAT track steadily going through the whole song, also I have the EVENTS set correctly from watching videos and etc
March 2, 2015 at 1:36 am #439602Well, 99% likelihood that the problem is either what farottone said or what I said. And if not, 99.9% likelihood that the problem you’re having is caused by user error that can be remedied by carefully watching the tutorials, following the authoring docs and searching the forums.
Post the MIDI if you’re in the 0.01%.
March 2, 2015 at 2:00 am #439605Better yet, post the Reaper project just in case.
March 2, 2015 at 5:49 am #439613How will I do that?
March 2, 2015 at 2:27 pm #439617This is where I post some snarky comment, because really, after all we have done to provide the tools, tutorials, and place for discussion, using Google to figure out something as simple as “how do I upload a file to the internetz” is too hard.
But I won’t do that, I won’t be snarky. I’ll just leave the discussion and I will not offer my help. Because even though I’m not religious, I’m like God (or is it Jesus?) and I only help those who help themselves.
March 2, 2015 at 3:41 pm #439618Well damn, calm down dude. I didn’t know if there was a way to upload a file straight into the comments or I had to do it somewhere else. That is what I meant.

Hopefully this helps!
March 2, 2015 at 5:27 pm #439621Are you exporting your whole project to MIDI or just a time selection? Also, those events should be all lower caps (music_start, etc.) though I’m not sure that’s even an issue, let alone this issue.

But don’t mind me. I need to calm down, RIGHT?!
March 2, 2015 at 5:59 pm #439626When I export project midi I have
“Entire Project” checked
“All” MIDI items
“multitrack Midi file” and “embedded Tempo map” all checked. Nothing else
