So for this new song to have visible mistakes would suggest something to the effect of HMX either no longer having access or knowhow to the tools required for perfect lipsync or, more probably, not enough time and/or inclination. I’m past the point of caring, but it still makes for an interesting observation, especially in contrast to Nemo’s spotting of left hand animation notes. Spoiler: I haven’t touched the ones on bass in any of my customs, even the ones that are extravagant otherwise.

I think Harmonix may have broken Xbox Live. I still have not been able to purchase the other two songs. At first, back on Tuesday, over 6,500 results when searching for “rock band” either on xbox.com or through the Xbox itself. Yesterday I was getting about 5 results, not including the missing songs nor even the new Foo song. Today all I can see when I search for “rock band” is the ABC song … so something went terribly wrong somewhere. And I’m here trying to give them my money but they don’t want it.

I still can’t see them. If I search for Rock Band now I only get the games as results, not the DLC. If I search for “Foo Fighters” I get the Rocksmith DLC. Maybe from the music store app it’ll work. HMX needs to make sure going forward this shit doesn’t keep happening. I want to support them, but it’s become an annoyance at this point.

Harmonix has been saying it’s due to Microsoft, and not them. They can’t really control when live takes a shit on itself.

Managed to download them all now – good fun too. They seemed to be showing up on the Xbox sure earlier here in the UK and on the music store app too. I saw the news with new DLC and desided to support harmonix and started my xbox, but at the last moment I abort the update cuz

 

– they left us out to dry for 12 months

– more important: what if they did a new title update that can’t be removed so we can’t play any more customs?

 

I like the guys from Harmonix but I love the customs from C3 more!

 

Did anyone test this already?

There’s no new title updates for Rock Band past TU5, and I don’t think they could make a title update that’s impossible to remove, without packaging it into the disc or Games On Demand version of the game (as in, if you have already downloaded it any further updates can be removed).
