I know not everyone here is excited for the return, but I am. I will gladly play both.
Any speculation? Anyone else also excited for GH or is this heresy to you?
I haven’t played GH since GH 2 first came out on the XBox 360 and got me hooked on rhythm games. Literally the only reason I care whether Guitar Hero comes back or not at this point is the stupid exclusive agreements that are made with each games for songs to show up only in that game. I would prefer as many songs available in each game as possible and this stifles that. Especially now that RB supposedly has a smaller budget and they are making it as an independent studio. They may not have that exclusivity money to shell out for some big name artist.
I’m excited for GH guitars to return. I still love the GH3 Les Paul the best, but today they’re almost impossible to find actually fully* working without paying 200+ for new in box
I bought one a few months ago and it came with a yellow button that is basically jammed and is hard to press down, and the main board has a short in it because any batteries I put in die within a week even if I’m not playing. Bought another one recently as well, and the neck has that usual Les Paul problem where the neck can stretch too far off the pins and notes won’t register when pressed.
Well, part of my excitement is that I too have preferred GH over RB guitars in the past. But we’ll have to see what the new guitars are like. Then we’re also assuming they’ll be compatible across the games, we’ll also have to wait and see how that goes.
As far as Les Pauls, I have 2-3 of them at the moment. They’re cute but too small. I prefer the GH5 body

anybody else notice the focus on the guitar pics, soundial music festival posters in the background (teased a few weeks back)? I keep thinking it’s either more realistic graphical style, but rumors keep saying a more realistic gameplay experience. Excited to see what’s unveiled tomorrow.
Since all the Guitar Hero DLC was taken off the store quite some time ago leaves me skeptical if any type of backwards compatibility with older content is going to happen. This really feels like they are starting from scratch.
