Well, that’s bleepin’ silly. I still can’t get over how they felt the need to edit out ‘gin’ from Honky Tonk Women. It actually sounds naughtier without that word in the song

Between the censorship and Kotick “full band for the first time”-esque hype comments, I was struggling to make it through.
Gameplay looks like it could be OK but I’m no longer interested enough in guitar gameplay to buy one peripheral for one game that I will mostly play solo (nevermind needing two for that rare time I want to play with someone else).

Inside your what?! I can think of a lot more words that are worse than “blouse.”
On a lighter note though. That Behind the Scenes video they put out recently made the game seem kind of cool to play. I’m one of the people that think the 2×3 button layout would be pretty fun to play, and the footage they show of the harder difficulties does make it seem like we’d have to re-learn the game (something I’m also not against).
I mean, I won’t get it at release, but I’ll probably end up picking it up eventually.
It’s happening again. Everyone is talking about Guitar Hero. All of the screens and videos and press. Several people irl have asked me about it since I’m “the guitar hero guy” even though I’m really the Rock Band guy. I feel maybe Rock Band should have put a little more than a few words out there about 4 especially if they knew some of the words were going disappointing. They are mechanically different games at this point but I doubt that will change anything.
Good lord this is a horrible start to a set list. I hope RB4 is nothing close to this type of selection. Also glad I had no desire to play GH Live even before this reveal.
Paint it Black is the only one I’m jealous over. That Green Day song is good too from Uno. GH is now very limited to what it can license due to its linear 1 instrument gameplay. Rock Band won’t have these restrictions, RB set list will be much better I predict.
So even though there will be no backwards compatibility with previous DLC, they make almost no effort to get any of those former artists back?
The only “wows” on that list are The Stones, but it’s a track that they licensed before, and Green Day, because of HMX’s previous affiliation.
I would think they will have some bombs to drop for the rest of the setlist, but that’s a pretty bad sampling to get people excited right off the bat.
Well, you can’t say they don’t have a clear demographic in mind.

Not enough to buy a $100 game just to play it on guitar though…
