Hey Guys.
I’ve been pretty much absent from the Rockband Scene for a while, only jumping on Clone Hero once in a while and being sad that I barely know how to play anymore. Unrelated to Rockband, I picked up a ChronusMax Plus recently.
I know that for Xbox One users, eDrums are near impossible due to the $400+ scalped adapter you need to play them.
So I’m in an interesting position now, as I have all of the things (XB1, RB4, MIDI Drums, MPA, PDP Adapter,) and would just need some assistance in getting them to talk. I’m not a programmer by any means, but I’m relatively capable on Windows and Linux, and understand things like USB VID/PIDs due to my day job.
I’ve made a post on Reddit about this, and necro’d the old post on the ChornusMax forums as well. If anyone thinks they can help with this, I’d think the entire Xbox Drumming scene would thank you.
PS, not sure if this should be in the Rockband 4 section. If so, Mods please move.
I am confused. Not sure what you are trying to do. You say you want a ChronusMax Plus to act as a PDP wired adapter then you state you already have a PDP adapter. If you already have a PDP adapter then youre all set, no need to use the Chronus Max at all. In fact, from your list of items, you are all set to play today, just hook it up. Drums to MPA, to PDP, to XboxOne, done.
I am all set to play, it’s not really about me. Most people can not play, I’m trying to find a way to make it so people can.
Ohhhh gotcha! I like the concept of that thing. Would be fantastic if it could replace the PDP. Makes sense too since its programmable, but after reading the link below I’m sadly not so optimistic anymore.
This post is years old but may still be relevant https://www.reddit.com/r/Rockband/comments/612qt9/anyone_use_the_cronusmax_to_play_on_their_360/
