Another pair of tracks for this Tuesday. A much requested AC/DC classic and an unexpected oldie.
Since we’re getting Suspicious Minds in RB4, I figured I’d take a stab at another Elvis staple. With the help of a well made midi, I turned this into a custom fairly quickly. I would have liked to do harmonies, but I didn’t have enought source material to work with. I could have done pro keys, but my lack of interest in it and it’s phasing out here and in RB4 make it easier to pass up. I did crank out a 5 lane keys track however. The drums are terribly boring here. It’s just brushes on the snare. Bass has a little variety. Guitar is mildly interesting. I do love the “Hawaiian” sound to it. But obviously this is a track for singers.
Finally the studio version is here! Be warned, if you had sore fingers playing the Live version, this one is twice as bad. I mostly keep the lead and rhythm parts separate, which means the legendary riff is played for the first 90+ seconds. And Malcolm’s riff goes even longer without a break. Drums are virtually the same as the Live version, minus the long hi hat intro. Bass is the same. I “Frankenstein-ed” various parts from other versions. I used espher’s pitched harmony parts for H2&3. I also used the venue cues from the Live version so they have professional lighting and camera cuts.
I am kind of liking this style of releasing AC/DC and not at the same time. I’ll probably do it next time too. Until then!

I love the Elvis song and the only song that’s missing in my opinion is Whole lotta Rosie and then you created an epic ACDC collection for RB3!

Love me some Elvis. I’m still waiting for someone to do Promised Land. I asked a certain someone about 3 years ago and he still hasn’t gotten around to it.
Also, I would recommend putting the artist and song name in text along with the Visualizer image. Anyone searching for your songs won’t find them if all you’ve got is the image.

Promised Land is my favorite Elvis song, and I was thinking of doing it, but the midi I found wasn’t great for vocal pitching.
As far as searching for my songs, all of them are in first post of the thread. I figure if someone is really combing for new customs, they would have come across my thread by now. But I guess I should start doing it so it shows up in the search results.
