I figured I’d give a tease.
I’ll be putting up a song soon. It has 3 part harmonies, guitar, drums and std. keys. Here’s some hints:
Sung by a notable artist who is still active today.
Probably was most known from a film.
Also, the star of this film was not known as an actor.
Climbed to #2 on the Hot 100.
Earned nearly $100 million in the US.
Joined many all time greats together for cameos.
Also on Rolling Stone’s greatest 500 songs of all time.
Multiple Grammy Award winning.

Could it be….”When Doves Cry” from Purple Rain? Oh wait….that made it to #1, so I guess it wouldn’t be that.

It could be the actual song, Purple Rain. That made it to #2 on the hot 100.
As a side note, I would love a bunch of songs from the album. I would die 4 U, Let’s Go Crazy, When Doves Cry and Purple Rain.
“Let’s Go Crazy” is my bucket list RB song, if there ever was one…

There’s a few more things to work on but you will surely get better with time and you will learn to position notes correctly and to have them at the correct length. Tuning offset on the other hand is something you may not be aware of so here it is.

Can’t really say I’m familiar with that. I’ll have to check into that.
And pro keys chords? On OHMSS? That just had the couple chords in the beginning, and I played them on a real keyboard and they sounded right. I’ll have to re-check that one I guess.
And after the trouble I’ve had with this song I’m about to release, I’m definitely done with vocals for awhile. I know most people won’t like it, but it’s just not worth it when it takes over half my time authoring to get that sorted. I won’t be doing as well known songs anyway.

Correct! They had a value for “Mature” ratings, but never used them in any officially-released content.

Glad you like it. The drums are a bit of a hot mess. Not the greatest for RB, but I did the best I could, and even threw in a unique solo to spice things up. And sorry I’m not on Skype.
