Didn’t know this song before I checked it out on youtube due to you posting this here. Starts slow but by the middle its classic rockin Oasis. Thanks for the work!
Every think about doing anything from “Be Here Now”
“D’you know what i Mean” is a bad ass song, and would be a good opening song for any rockout.
April 10, 2014 at 12:53 am #417413Be Here Now definitely has some great tracks that need to be in the game. I kicked it off with Don’t Go Away, but there are another few that could be done too. The tricky thing is, that album was mixed terribly. Even Noel admits it. The bass lines are almost completely drowned out, as well as a lot of guitar. The first three albums are being remastered later this year, and maybe they won’t be so loud, and it will be easier to listen to each instrument as far as authoring goes.
That’s not to say I won’t take a stab at one before then though.
And for anyone who hasn’t heard it…

Yeah, that is a great song.
Thanks for more Oasis! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
April 10, 2014 at 2:27 am #417432It’s a cool song, feels like a Radiohead song sort of.
April 10, 2014 at 9:14 am #417457Thanks again for Oasis, Don’t Go Away is the song i played the most! (according to rock band)
April 10, 2014 at 7:46 pm #417491Wow, I love Oasis and haven’t heard The Turning in awhile for some reason. Awesome song! Thanks for the great work!
April 13, 2014 at 4:00 am #417742Hey hey!
The first studio track from the Back in Black album! It’s not perfect, but it’s way better than that crime against humanity that was on the repository. [Disclaimer]
Hope you enjoy! If you want to give it a quick listen.
Quick update has been made as of this edit. Count-in was missing, and other small things were changed.
April 13, 2014 at 4:28 am #417746Yes please!
April 13, 2014 at 6:29 am #417751I just added the repository version of “Have a Drink on Me” to my setlist. Now its time to light that one on fire. Much appreciated for this one.
April 14, 2014 at 12:21 am #417802Can’t wait to try this one out!
April 15, 2014 at 6:03 pm #417967Enough of these converts, time for a new Oasis track!
I can say I spent a hell of a lot more time with this one than I did with Don’t Go Away the first time round. Although this song has harmonies, this file does not. It was a combination of not being able to tell pitch due to both my ability, and how drowned out it was in the mix.
That was a big problem with this track. I definitely had to do some “fill in the blank” authoring here. Especially with bass. It still plays very well though. Vocals are about on par with what you usually get from me. If I can get 100% on hard, it passes my test. Guitar and drums are where it’s at. The Keys track is the orchestral backing track. Not really that eventful.
Hope you guys enjoy it.
Now I’ve got to get back to another track I’m currently working on.
Hint: It was #1 on the US Hot 100 for several weeks this decade.
April 15, 2014 at 8:23 pm #417981Thanks for more Oasis!
Looking forward to what you have coming up…. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
