FUGGNUTZ’s WIP Customs
WIP
Decapitated – Spheres of Madness
Slipknot – Spit It Out
I figured I should go ahead and make a thread for my customs. I plan on mostly charting songs that my friends and I would like to see in Rock Band 3. I have a lot of songs that I’d love to chart, but I can really only do one at a time efficiently. Hopefully someone else is already working on most of them ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />. Please tell me anything wrong with any of my charts. I’d love to make them as good as they can possibly be.
May 30, 2017 at 12:11 pm #485665That’s a very extensive changelog. Perhaps I’ll have a look with the preview plugin. Not my preferred genre, however.
Good luck on all things authoring related. Takes a while to get used everything involved in making a high quality, full band custom.
July 2, 2017 at 1:12 am #487151UPDATE: I have taken over PIK’s WIP of Chip Skylark’s My Shiny Teeth and Me. I’ve charted expert drums, pro keys, and keys so far, with the rest to come later.
November 5, 2017 at 1:48 am #492234So, before I get too far along with this project, I’d like someone to try and review my tempo map in game. I’m charting Slipknot’s Spit It Out and this is my first time doing a real tempo map, where you have tempo markers every measure. In order to ensure I didn’t do a terrible job, I’d like for someone to play my custom (drums only, 2x bass pedal) and tell me if it feels too off in some places. Here is the download link: https://mega.nz/#!Z6oUTSZa!z5FFRbyfNF1UoYVlIqbrUntV9hQdQkgCkSPUOE-lyY4 Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If I shared that here, I wouldn’t be able to include my audio source file, correct? Here it is without the audio:

November 5, 2017 at 3:38 pm #492246Your chart looks quite good, with only a few minor issues remaining. I’m sure you’ll find them.
The tempo map, however, is out of sync by a fair bit, but consistently good otherwise. Zoom in on 30.4 and you will see both flams in that beat are not on beat. The first one sounds before 30.4 whereas it should hit exactly on 30.4.
Currently, the song would be perfectly playable, with a custom calibration setting for this song only, which is far from ideal. Try to redo your tempo map using the peaks in the waveform to identify snare and kick notes to help you.
Finally, you can get rid of the tempo marker on 2.1, as the tempo does not change from 1.1 and it is actually on 1.4.99.
In short, you mostly did a good job. Are you planning on making this full band?

Thank you for your feedback! I’m in the process of redoing the tempo map at the moment. I was using the peaks to do the tempo map, but I guess that mistakes built up in certain sections, which lead to the sync issues. This is going to take a while, but once it’s done, I won’t have to do it again unless I screw this one up too. I’m gonna make this full band but priority #1 is the new tempo map.
December 21, 2017 at 11:03 pm #493582Updating this thread to say that I am currently working on Jonas Brothers – Year 3000. Hoping to get in a decent state in the next few days, and eventually complete this one.
January 5, 2018 at 5:36 am #494016Updating to add RADWIMPS – Oshakashama to the list. Currently have the tempo map and the guitar chart done, and working on the bass chart. I might release it when I get the bass and drums done also, since vocals is going to be a massive pain on this song.
January 6, 2018 at 5:05 am #494045So I’ve just finished up my first run-through of the bass chart on Oshakashama, and I’m looking for feedback. The bass on this song was pretty hard to chart, as it’s kinda sporadic and, at times, difficult to hear. For the most part, I think the guitar chart is okay as it is, but I’d also like some feedback on that as well. Here’s a link to a playable version with guitar and bass, and here’s a link to my project. I’d also like your opinions on the difficulty ratings I currently have for these charts. I currently have them both at devil tier, but I’m unsure of the bass in particular. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
EDIT: Added drums to both files.
May 22, 2018 at 1:24 am #498195Updating to add Decapitated – Spheres of Madness. The tempo map is done and I’m currently working on the drums.
December 12, 2018 at 10:27 pm #502391Updated to add American Football – Silhouettes. I plan on making this a non-C3X release, so it’s okay to post here.
