October 11, 2014 at 4:00 am #430914Now you may ask me “Dude, why all the chick songs?” And I would just point you to the list of priorities in the OP. And she likes playing RB just as much as me.
There are many covers of this song so I chose the one that was most familiar to me.

I’ve totally forgotten about uploading the RPP files. I’ll get to that Sunday while watching football.
I like that you refer to watching Sunday football in the same post where you upload Juice Newton. You are a man of the times. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
I for one, love this song, and was super-excited to see it. Didn’t realize it was recorded as late as 1981, feels older than that to me.
October 11, 2014 at 11:42 am #430921I haven’t heard Angel Of The Morning in forever! Great song…thank you!

October 14, 2014 at 9:23 pm #431064Question for drummers and I really don’t expect many answers but I’m just trying to get a feel.
Currently finishing up a song by a band that I have already released another song for.
Parts of the song have no drums but during those parts there are bongos. Would you prefer the bongos be charted to the drums or just leave them out all together?
Probably gave the song away but oh well.
October 14, 2014 at 9:35 pm #431065If there is nothing else playing during that part then why not chart the bongos? Bongos are drums too

Late in the song both drums and bongos are playing so I was just kinda over thinking it and trying to keep it consistent.

October 15, 2014 at 3:52 am #431076Just snatched this up before I started testing some of my songs. The guitar chart was great. This track is long overdue.
October 15, 2014 at 4:08 am #431077Thanks guys. I forgot to mention that there are very few “crashes” on drums so the natural overdrive activation spots are few and far between. I had do to a little improvisation where some open hi-hat hits are the activation points.

I had do to a little improvisation where some open hi-hat hits are the activation points.OD fills don’t have to land on a Crash, they just have to land on a note and preferably land on the first note of a new 4 beat 4 measure repetition (assuming the song is in 4/4) to make it where a drummer would most likely put in a fill if improvising in real life
In fact, you should have them appear regularly throughout the song or else it will be potentially annoying on drums

Thank you. Since when I play I don’t use fill lanes, I didn’t even think of that. Of course that’s probably in the docs somewhere and I failed to comprehend it.

All very true, but I would add that Fruitloops’ *concept* is not far off: unless you want the player to play that specific fill, overlapping a fill with an OD fill is a good way to nail where a drummer would naturally improvise. Obviously, you still need to have a good number of OD fills (so if you have few fills in the original song, you simply can’t limit yourself to those, and even in songs with plenty of fills you still need to add a few) and as you said there’s no *need* to make an OD fill overlap an original fill.
