I am working on a bunch of songs with multiple vocalists, and I have run into a slight problem.

I like to have the lead vocalist sing one part, and the other part sang exclusively by the guitarist, meaning the vocalist’s lips would not be animated during that part. However, this gets complicated when the guitarist is absent, so the bassist lip syncs instead.

To make sure the camera is always on the second vocalist, I usually overlap the two text events

that way it will always shows the person singing, however if both are present, it seems random which person is shown, so about half the time it shows the bassist when he isn’t singing. Is there any way to force it to show the guitarist if he is present, but show the bassist if he’s not?

Unless the song has all instruments charted, and you’re playing drums bass keys at once, guitarist will be displayed. Whether you’re playing guitar or not, lipsync stays with whoever got it in Magma. Point is you only need to direct the camera to the guitarist.

My songs are all full band, so what do I do if the guitarist is absent, just not worry about that case?

Ask yourself how many times the song will be played in the exact configuration I mentioned and determine how important that is. I would venture “not very.”

There’s also the possibility that the game assigns the lipsync automatically in that scenario.

        Yeah you’re right, I’ll just worry about guitar sing-alongs  <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
