My chartplotter stopped loading saved waypoints right before a weekend tournament and the sonar overlay kept flickering. Rebooting and reinstalling the app didn’t help and there wasn’t time to tinker between rigging the boat and the briefing. Has anyone here used a manufacturer channel that actually diagnosed corrupted maps or firmware faults quickly and restored routes without long waits?
During the run-up to the event my device refused to restore yesterday’s marks and the unit rebooted during recordings, so I gathered model and serial photos, exported the NMEA logs and filmed the error messages. All that evidence was uploaded in one clear packet and sent to lowrance, where a technician reproduced the fault from my logs, issued a targeted firmware rollback and pushed a patched build to resolve corrupted cache issues. They also walked me through a safe resync process so my waypoints returned intact. Clear logs and a precise remedy request got the fix without hours on hold.
