Screw you! Just when I thought I finally mastered the “old” C3 interface!!!

I’m not surprised by the achievement, given the level of talent and passion of the people involved in creating it, but as always, I am humbled that such gifts are freely given to all of us out of a sense of love and community. You guys are really the best.
My favourite parts are
– Ranking System – thank you for the legacy downloads, gave me and others a nice boost right off the bat. Now i’m concerned with ‘how many songs’ and ‘how many downloads’ until I reach the next level. It’s another motivator.
– Authors Directory – Sure we can just stare at the database page day after day but its really good to see a quick view of author activity.
– Following/Followers – It’s great to get a notification of new material being released and likewise see your list of followers – these are friends that I want to keep happy so I’m going to try to release content that they might enjoy.
– Download page – It’s beautiful and it recommends more of my songs to people. How cool is that!
Really loving the buzz here guys, what a great day to be part of this community.

I love stats, so this is good. Who is that person on Ayres Rock (Uluru) in the middle of Australia downloading customs ?
The control about how much downloads you have in any files, in what are your last 10 songs, help to know what is the priority for new content and what is the most downloaded genre/style. Maybe 1 of the best options for all charters who wants to start or keep a project.
I think it’s just putting a dot in the center of each country.
It’s pretty accurate, we, the french Rock Band fanbase all live in Bruère-Allichamps, on the parking of the tourist office, which just happens to be the center of the country, but that’s just pure hazard!

I think one of the coolest features for me is the world map, and what it reveals. It should probably come as no surprise that the U.S. and Canada are #1 and #2 consumers of my customs, but the country at #3 blew me away.
It’s Lithuania
, and I have a theory as to why. It seems there’s been a recent NATO deployment of Canadian Forces troops to the Baltic states, I suspect that this contingent may be responsible for moving Lithuania ahead of other heavy hitters, like the U.K., and Russia.
So, in the off-chance I’m right, my gratitude goes to the men and women of 2nd Battalion, P.P.C.L.I.. Thank you for your service.
First impressions, really liking it as a user and not an author my needs are a lot more simple, I have been adding a lot of customs that I have downloaded over the years to my profile, as well as a few it looks like I missed.
I like the ranking tables especially most downloaded and authors most downloaded customs as this allows me to see the which popular songs I’m missing from my collection and there has been a few instances where I knew the song but not the artist and/or title.
I only three minor issues as a user (for me at least) not being able to filter out expert only and non-FB customs, not being able to download a file direct from the global stats page, currently if I like a track I have to go in to the authors page and find the custom and lastly a table listing the newly released customs.
These are only minor issues and some like global stats being unable to download a file might be intentional to encourage people to look at authors pages or the table list of newly released customs, might not be needed as we have the Custom Song Database and I’m not sure yet if C3 Universe is set to replace this or work with Custom Song Database going forward.
Also whilst we’re talking about long term as a user are there any plans for custom recommendations based on my tastes from what I have already downloaded and not in my collection?
All in all though, this is a fantastic tool, the possibilities are endless and a massive thank you to all involved.

That’s a good point, the download link is now available.

The database is the best place to do that.
