So when I exported my RB1 to RB3, the export didn’t exactly go well. All the songs seemed to transfer fine but when I play then, I’ll often get weird sound issues (clipping or jutting, difficult to explain, usually guitar effects and whammy bar will trigger them), and I want to re-export the songs and hopefully fix the sound problem. However I’m worried that because of the removal of exporting RB1 that if I try I’ll end up not being able to export them and I’ll end up deleting all the RB1 songs and never get them back. Has anyone tried or knows that you can indeed re-export them if you already have previously despite the 5-year cutoff? This is on Xbox, by the way.
Thanks,
Bansheeflyer
If you have the export file on your xbox, you should be good to go, i don’t think you even need to be online if you have the export license downloaded.
Yep, you just need the RB1 disc because the songs are ripped straight off of it compared to the later game exports that were a pack download on XboxLive or PSN.
I get the weird audio hiccups on rb1 songs in rb3 and they didn’t exist in rb2 with the same exported files so I doubt re-ripping them will fix your issues.
I’m figuring it’s just the poor condition of the disc, because if it was a problem most players have experienced Harmonix would’ve probably heard about it and patched it.
Thanks for the input everyone, hopefully a little disc repair and a re-export will fix it.
