I’m getting a ton of errors trying to export my song from Magma. Yes, I know it’s common, but I followed the pksage tutorial and read the manual, and even searched on this forum for a solution, but I wasn’t able to find one.
The problems are as follows:
Magma: C3 Roks Edition v3.3.2=============================Build started at 21:49Starting Nemo’s MIDI Validator…Everything looks good, continuing…Nemo’s MIDI AutoGen process started.Generated keys animation track successfully.Exported modified MIDI file successfully. All done.Nemo’s MIDI AutoGen process completed.Loading MagmaCompilerC3.exe…Reading the archiveProject Compiler: Reading project ‘C:UsersThe BeastDesktopSirensMagmafile.rbproj’…Project Compiler: Entering Phase 1 of 5…Metadata Compiler: Starting…Metadata Compiler: Done.Project Compiler: Entering Phase 2 of 5…MIDI Compiler: Starting…ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): Big Rock Ending appears at [58:3:240], but there is no coda eventERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART BASS): MIDI events at [92:4:120] after the end event at [92:4:000]ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): MIDI events at [92:4:120] after the end event at [92:4:000]ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART KEYS): MIDI events at [92:4:120] after the end event at [92:4:000]ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (BEAT): MIDI events at [92:4:120] after the end event at [92:4:000]ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART KEYS_ANIM_RH): MIDI events at [92:4:120] after the end event at [92:4:000]ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): No gems after drum fill at [58:3:240] for easy difficultyERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): No gems after drum fill at [58:3:240] for medium difficultyERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): No gems after drum fill at [58:3:240] for hard difficultyERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART REAL_KEYS): Difficulty hard: No keyboard rangesERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART REAL_KEYS): Difficulty expert: No keyboard rangesMIDI Compiler: Done.ERROR: Project Compiler: Midi compiler failed.I have no idea what to do with these. I don’t recall adding a Big Rock Ending to my song, I made sure all midi tracks end simultaneously with the audio track, I used quantization, and I don’t see how drum fills are relevant to a guitar part. I’m sorry if these are mistakes I should have been able to fix myself, but I’ve been working all day on my song and I would love it if someone could give me some pointers here.June 4, 2018 at 11:29 pm #498491You are putting drum fills notes on guitar at M58, which is not a thing. You have MIDI events after the end event in the BEAT track. Make sure there is nothing on any track after that marker. On Pro Keys you need to add ranges, make sure you check the docs on how to do that.
June 5, 2018 at 12:17 am #498492Ok, I have looked into the things you said and finally got a succesful export after a few more tries! Thank you!
I have one more question though, if you’d be so kind; In the manual I’m told to turn off instrument plug-ins before exporting. I honestly don’t know/remember what this refers to. Where are these plugins and how can I turn them off?
June 5, 2018 at 12:39 am #498493Plugins are found in the FX button on each track. Usually the plugins consist of RBN Preview and ReaSynth, so you should uncheck the boxes next to those if you need to turn them off.
June 5, 2018 at 8:07 pm #498509That’s perfect! Thanks!
I ffeel a bit annoying asking another question here, and feel free to point me back to the tutorials if this is something I could’ve read in there;
In the export section of the official C3 manual (14.1 Exporting) there are a few times when the manual mentions setting your export settings as in the picture. But I can’t find any pictures? I’ve exported the song, but I’m pretty sure I will encounter issues playing it on my Xbox because I used the default settings for exporting. Am I dumb or…?
June 5, 2018 at 8:30 pm #498510You should have it set to export a multitrack MIDI file and check the box saying “embed project tempo/time signature changes”. It should show up fine in-game.
June 5, 2018 at 8:54 pm #498511I think it by default exports a multitrack MIDI file, the only thing you probably need to set is the “embed project tempo/time signature changes” box.
June 5, 2018 at 10:10 pm #498512Yes! It works now! Thanks a bunch, again!
