I usually let it autogenerate the movements, but for this song, there is lot of the green tom, and for some reason it autogenerates the drummer to play the 1st crash cymbol. I decided to go through and do the animations myself. However, now the drummer just stays in the idol state. Am I missing something? When I first started customs I would do the Animations myself and it would work, so why not now?

Well, it would have saved you some time but up to you, obviously. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
May 19, 2015 at 12:18 pm #445848CAT was being a pain when installing, so I just didn’t bother with it. I don’t mind putting in the extra work ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> As for the animations, is there anything I can do? If worse comes to worse I’ll leave it. It will just look wierd having the drummer hitting the crash but making a tom sound ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
May 19, 2015 at 12:21 pm #445849I do the animations myself as well, don’t feel bad ha
When you when through doing them, did you add in correct animation text events? I’m pretty sure if you did not add any in the default behavior is [idle_realtime] so the drummer will not do anything during the song.
May 19, 2015 at 12:27 pm #445850Do you mean in the Drums track? cause there’s no event for idle or play. Will I need to put in both, or just play?
May 19, 2015 at 1:59 pm #445856You put [play] for when the drummer is actually playing, and if there is a part of the song where the drummer isn’t doing anything you put [idle]
There are also other text events for animation that you can find here:

I didn’t even know those animations were there, thanks ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> And yeah that did the trick. Such a simple thing in hindsight, don’t know why I didn’t try it. Thanks everyone ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
May 20, 2015 at 1:50 am #445908If you let Magma autogenerate things for you (Venue and Drum animations etc.) you can extract the midi from that CON, reimport it to your project and copy/paste the track that changed. You’ll be able to move the crash cymbal animation notes to green tom in there. The [play] [idle] stuff should be showing up automatically too.
May 20, 2015 at 9:22 am #445925If you let Magma autogenerate things for youFor drums animations I’m not sure it’s worth it. It does a good job for 90% of the song and for the remaining 10% it messes up basic stuff. Installing CAT is probably a 10 minute process and after that you can one-button animations (and tweak them after that).
