How do I chart double overdrive (at least that’s what I call it) in REAPER?
I understand how to chart overdrive just fine.
Is it called something else or do you have to do something special?
Thanks.
To make a “double overdrive” phrase (or a unison phrase in proper terms), you need the overdrive phrase to be in the same spot across multiple instrument charts. For instance, an overdrive phrase on drums at measure 32 needs to be an overdrive phrase on any (generally all) other instruments at measure 32. Otherwise, if the only overdrive phrase in your song at measure 32 is on drums, then that phrase will not be “double”.
So you can’t have a unison phrase when only one instrument is charted?

You can’t. An unison needs at least two instruments (not vocals) with an overdrive phase the same size in the same spot.
