I only say this because there’s always ad pop-ups every time go to download a custom that’s been uploaded to Mediafire. Pop-up ads tend to almost always give viruses, and that’s no good.
I just want to avoid having these problems for the future and have the peace of mind when uploading/downloading content here; for you and I both. I’ve already had to clean out my computer a few times because I got so many Mediafire pop-up ads when browsing customs and downloading a bunch; detected plenty of viruses.
I recommend using Dropbox: it’s safer, personal, and secure. You can easily add files to and from your computer with this service; makes it much easier to update files as well whenever you need to. All you gotta do is drag and drop the same updated file and it’ll replace it without changing the download link, so you won’t have to create a new link every time you update the song you posted.
Plus, there’s no alternate tab opening to download it; it downloads instantly once you click the usual ‘Download for Xbox 360’ button. Instant downloads are always nice.
Just a recommendation.
January 25, 2017 at 11:24 am #480559Dropbox does have the issue of having a “limit” on public links, although i’m not sure what that limit is
Personally I use google drive for uploading (also, your sig is far too big ha)

Dropbox’s limit is 2gb, considering the files are 10mb or less, it’s plenty of room for customs
January 25, 2017 at 12:09 pm #480561Do you use an up to date browser with an ad blocker? I suggest uBlock Origin rather than Adblock Plus.

Mediafire just does that! Lol
I would use GDrive or Mega but GDrive doesn’t show download numbers, from what I remember (i like numbers!! Hahaha) and Mega has a download limit for free users (1gb I guess).
I’ve uploaded 2.6gb of customs in my Mediafire account, so Dropbox isn’t a option for me! (And I’m about to upload a full album with +100mb).
January 25, 2017 at 2:53 pm #480566I have 15.9 GB of customs on my MF. So dropbox can suck it. Lol.

Well you can pay for unlimited space, 2gb is just the free max limit; it’s also a personal folder you can just drag and drop to on your computer or mobile device, so it’s more convenient imo.
Didn’t realize so many ppl on forums were so salty lol

You should go with Mega, no ads. Though I have adblock so there might be some, but it will never be as bad as Mediafire.
You get 50gb with a free account, and I have never gotten a copyright notice, and I’m using Alex’s account which has most of his songs, not a single copyright.

It’s less salt and more like friendly sass. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

Eh.. Idk. From pretty much most of the posts I’ve seen around here, lots of people are pretty much dicks towards everyone, even those who are seeking assistance or advice. Either way, sass or not, it’s mostly always negative lol

(Sorry to butt in but this bugs me)
It’s most likely that you qualify as “dicks” the people who answer to people who have not read the rules, just like any place with rules: People won’t be nice with you if you don’t respect them or at least read them
January 25, 2017 at 3:19 pm #480571I’ve had no issues with MF tho. And i’m not salty. Lol.

See? That’s straight up dickatry right there. Not everyone who comes here with curiousity knows about your “rules” for one reason or another. Some people straight up have legitimate issues (some that I’ve personally had myself because I couldn’t figure out what my problem was) and the posts I managed to find that had an answer for me, the responses to the OP who was innocently asking for help was being bitched at for your “rules.”
All you’d have to do is refer to the answer they seek or the rules that are posted (just in case they were unaware for whatever reason) and be on your way, not treat them like dirt. If they respond like shit, then yeah go for it. But I’m just saying for those that just post because they can’t find the answer themselves.
Forums aren’t easy to navigate for most people, exactly why I hate using forums. This site is an exception just because of rock band

Of course some people are real dicks, I won’t give any name because I have no idea who on this forum is concerned. I was not trying to make you angry in any way, I’m just considering reading the rules is one of the must-do things to know the do’s and don’t’s of questions to ask, just so you’re sure
Now about the original reason for this post, I believe Mediafire is really fast to start a download and has a minimal interface that makes it load fast too, I don’t knw much about ad-blockers but I’m sure there’s one that allows you to avoid opening the blank page and ad page
