If for any reason you need to contact me easier for any information, send me a PM and I’ll send you my email.
August 22, 2014 at 2:40 pm #427644[update]
I finally finished (mostly) my previous project, and I’m starting to move on and work on some other files. I’ll put them on my reserved list, more so as a check from you all to see if anyone has submitted/reserves any of these already.
August 22, 2014 at 2:45 pm #427650As I mentioned in your request thread, Harmonix has already done “Fix You” by Coldplay as part of a bigger pack.
August 22, 2014 at 6:19 pm #427674I’m sorry about Faithfully, still waiting on a feedback from our resident pro keys expert.
August 22, 2014 at 6:27 pm #427676Oh you’re fine. Just glad to get a heads up you didn’t forget about me =] ha.
I based the keys off of the sheet music I learned from years ago. I’m 95% sure it’s charted right, aside from a few of Cain’s personal touches/flairs. Another set of experienced eyes can never hurt however, and it’s always better to get it right the first time than have to update later.
August 23, 2014 at 12:18 pm #427741This really pains me to say but pro keys are not in the shape they would need to be. And frankly, this is the kind of songs I tend not to touch because I don’t have the skills to do an accurate enough job. I’m afraid this falls in that category of songs that unless get a very good pro keys author to devote some time on it won’t be releasable through C3. I’m sorry it took so long to get back to you but pro keys feedback just got to me last night.
August 23, 2014 at 3:52 pm #427750Again man, you’re fine. I’ve been working on Clockwork Angels a lot anyways (I’ve had a lot less free time lately so it’s taken a while) so this is perfect timing since we’re almost done with that.
Can you* give me any feedback on why they will not work from either your ideas of your pro keys person? I’ll try to improve the chart from your suggestions the best I can, and I can give the chart off to someone else if need be.

Let’s do this: PM sageamagoo, who reviewed them, so he can give you a direct feedback. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”> Also, can’t wait to see Clokcwork Angels finished to see if we can release it under C3.
August 23, 2014 at 5:26 pm #427758Alright, I’ll shoot him a PM. Thanks for the help!
Yeah, I would love to see that as well. Honestly however, I’m not completely sure how strong ejthedj is with the other instruments and events ect. I was only providing him with the Tempo Map + Drum Tracks. Since there are more than 6 songs release, so we break it up and both post half of the finished songs in our Show Floor thread? Or can he just host them all since they are the same album?

I think an exception can be made.

I sent him a PM over a week ago and still have not heard back. Do you have another recommendation for someone who I could send the file over to and get feedback on for keyboard? I would make a post in the forum but I know how “more secretive” you all would like the show floor material to stay.

– Guitar / Drums finished
– Vocals charted (not finished)
– Keyboard started
2) Five for Fighting: 100 Years
– Added to Reserved List
– Pro X Keys Charted

Maybe Nyx cares to help? The issue as I see it is simple: this kind of song in my mind requires a very high level of skills. I don’t have it, BY FAR. Piano is madness, the amount of variations is crazy, copy pasting is almost impossible, etc. Actually, this is probably one of those songs that would make for a good case of “do we release it without keys or not at all?”. With that said, maybe Nyx is interested in helping (not sure who else could, is interested in Journey and has time to spare), otherwise obviously you are free to take it public, we have no interest in keeping you from release any song. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
September 4, 2014 at 2:11 pm #428551I agree this song for Keys was pretty difficult. I used how I* know how to play the song as my base notes. Then, I noticed that the studio recording has some variation thrown in (like most key charts), which I tried my best to arrange to.
I know the main rhythm and general notes are good, but it’s the little things that you can JUST hear and notice that are causing problems. I’ve been playing piano for over 10 years, but it’s not always easy especially when you do not have stems
September 4, 2014 at 3:03 pm #428553Say, do you use a Piano VST when authoring Pro Keys? I find it much easier to chart flourishes and piano in general when using one of those instead of ReaSynth as it’s easier to hear if the piano VST is playing the part correctly compared to if ReaSynth beeps in the right pitch. The one I use is the full VST instrument library from Mixcraft 5, which is possible to just copy from it’s folders into the Reaper VST folders, so I recommend trying that or finding an other good piano sound to use.
