    Hello

is doing pro guitar in editor on fire better and would it work?

as I’m thinking of doing pro guitar on my songs

but it is more easy in editor on fire

my question is, is the only thing I have to do is downchart it and start power

    and add slides and bends

and then put it into reaper?

    thanks

All Magma cares about is the MID. You can use EoF, Ziggy, or REAPER to make one.

The RBN docs cover what needs to be in the MID, as far as difficulties and overdrive. Pro Guitar/Bass was never allowed in RBN, so that’s not covered in the docs.

Rock Band 3 doesn’t support bend notation, I think people are stuck with authoring bends as HOPOs or slides just so the right pitches are hit to make it sound right.

I’ve noticed that pro guitar tends to have bends authored just as single sustains on the original fret that would be bent. I’m pretty sure that’s the standard.

If the BEND is a single 5 button note, then it can be authored as a sustain or a slide. If its split across 2 notes (more common than you think), then I am now charting that as fret# slide to hopo on same fret #.

I have used EoF and the ziggy editor to chart PRO. EoF does better quality control and raynebc knows everything about the mid so he is invaluable, but charting in Ziggy seems about 4-5x faster to me. (I did some Rocksmith charts in EoF and it works great.) I wish EoF would go “windows”.

If you need any help with the Ziggy editor, I’ll always answer.
