It must be discouraging reading this thread about something you’ve worked really hard on. But trust me when I say it really is helpful and I’ve utilized it for every song since I downloaded it.
It’s just things like this that leave a sour taste in my mouth

The key to the filter is: consider all the auto-gen songs Expert-only, because very, very few songs would have been authored manually if CAT wasn’t available. Which is what I imagined when I built the tool. If you’re in the “autogen is better than nothing crowd” you get something out of it, otherwise no harm done. I can promise you not one committed author will just skip proper reductions: those who do don’t have the time or interest to do them properly anyway.
March 18, 2016 at 2:56 am #465524for me it’s a no download unless the music is so loved to me, like unforgiven 2 but i just play to try , because it is like a massacre! ahahha ’cause only expert is a little much…
March 20, 2016 at 6:08 pm #465678Thank you everyone, i will try to add other levels and clean them up a bit.
But where does it say about having blue and orange on lower levels?
So it only has to be 1 of blue and orange on easy and medium?
March 20, 2016 at 9:43 pm #465682This thread has been a bit of a wake up call for me as well. I have been doing one click CAT reductions not really thinking that it was a big deal but it appears to be. I’ll be updating my old customs and any new ones with legit reductions from now on.

Reread what I wrote earlier, that’s straight from the RBN docs : “for each color used in expert you must have at least one gem of the same color in all the other difficulties”. 1 is the bare minimum, but it often makes more sense to have at least a few more for consistency between parts.
Usually on medium, you use mainly G/R/Y/B gems and keep O for unique notes during solos/bridges/slides/high-pitched melodic lines, and on easy you use G/R/Y gems and keep B/O for solos and such.

I think the easy must have just 4 colors like antique Guitar heros, but normal and more can be five. Just my opinion thought I play with old people who suffers with orange in easy. Just my opinion, sure .
In the days of old guitar heroes, the most annoying thing was the easy difficult, because three colors are so slow and an unfun hell. The easy having at least 4 would have a more decent track consistency. Medium and more with all colors is effectively well.
