Disc Error

So I followed all the instructions and even got a new Rock Band EA version disc. When I load up the game I can see my custom songs that I downloaded. However as soon as I go to play the song I get an error that the game disc cannot be read. The disc quality is flawless. No scratches.

Any idea what I could be doing wrong? Could the problem be that I also have the digital version downloaded and installed?

Were you connected to the internet when you started the game? If you where it probably overwrote the Title Update 4 file with the TU5 one which blocks customs from working

Yes, I was. I didn’t know that. I will try again tonight disconnected from the internet. Thanks.

Too late, you need to delete TU5 from our system via the Xbox dashboard and install TU4 as explained in our video tutorial. <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I had a family member recently download TU5 while trying to play rock band 3 on my xbox. I’m curious if I need to nuke the entire flash drive and all the customs on it and redo the entire setup process, or if there’s a simpler and less time consuming fix.

Just delete TU5 and reinstall TU4. No need to delete anything else

Wonderful, that did the trick. Thanks for clearing that up and saving me some stress.
