I decided to chart a song that’s different from my usual selection of rock. The harmonies are probably the best part of the chart, in my opinion, and the worst is the guitar chart, where barely any notes are actually charted.

The theme song from the James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace, written by Jack White. The drum chart is easily the hardest one that I have charted so far, and in my opinion, the most fun.

Another Way to Die came out as DLC for Guitar Hero World Tour. Its got multitracks and has been converted to RB3. Just an FYI.

Has it really? I’ve had it sitting in my “in progress” folder for over a year and never could get around to it. If someone converted it and posted it here I never noticed. MrMet released those 007 themes but he never bothered with this one.

Still a real kick in the crotch to make a song that has completed charts out there in the wild. deoxy, next time you start authoring a song, google “song name” + rock band or “song name” + guitar hero and see if anything comes up. Might save you trouble in the future.

I was wrong. Apparently it hasnt been converted cause I don’t see it on my setlist and there is no links on the GHtoRB3 spreadsheet. How the hell did nobody convert this one?

My biggest concern was trying to split Jack & Alicia up into harm 1&2. Plus someone around here whose name I can’t recall right now had been converting a bunch of GH tracks and I assumed they would get to this one.

You have a good point about splitting up Jack and Alicia’s parts to take advantage of the RB3’s harmony system. I’d have to look at the existing GH vocals chart to see how much work it would involve to do so. I’m sure extra vocal charting would be necessary. Since Deoxy99 really sparked the interest in doing this song(of which I thought was already done) then I’ll leave it to him if he wants to convert the GH World Tour charts. Otherwise we can play rock paper scissors who wants to tackle this one. I have a few more GH songs I want to convert just havnt got around to it yet.

I did convert it. But without proper Harms and Keys this song is a major bummer. It is on the list for attention when I can get time. Great song, but without harms and keys it falls flat. I am still hoping to someday soon get it upgraded to be complete. I just have a ton on my plate right now. If anyone is interested in helping with keys (at least 5 lane) and harms before then, let me know and I will send you the project files.

No it hasn’t been released, it is in a file with several other unreleased ones that I haven’t had time to mess with.

The first one is a piano centric song with some interesting bass parts, and the second one is vocal centric, with a very simple beat in the background. Quite catchy for a simple tune.

Here’s yet another White Stripes song; in my opinion, this song sounds fitting for a Wild West themed movie. There is a keys part in the song, but I decided to do that later.
