Yes, laugh, but I took ten minutes and made a custom for the gamecube startup theme. It’s done, full band (keys, drums, guitar as strings) but I can’t compile it because the preview needs to be 30 seconds. Any way around this?

LOL I could not figure it out either. One of my first customs was Misfits – I Wanna Be a New York Ranger which is a whole 22 seconds. I just ended up adding 8 seconds of bullshit silence to the end. I hope someone knows the answer to this one.

Not sure if there is a way around this hurdle. You could try to add silence to make the song 30 seconds so Magma will be happy and compile it normally. After you make the CON, use C3 Con Tools to inject a midi of the same song that doesn’t have the buffered silence to replace the compiled midi. It may just work or it may just crash the game. I haven’t tried it yet.

I can confirm that this works, I did this for Bird. The audio is 34 seconds long but the [end] event triggers after 27 seconds, using an override midi. The song length is still listed as 0:34 in game however, since that uses the audio length.

You can change the lenght in the DTA file.
