Its like Christmas when I get the notification thats its showdown time. Plus, I am at work so I am not busy.
I started working on “Crazy On You” custom last summer, I had the Gh2 convert chart that Oscar, Sideshow, Doc and probably many other people worked on, dropped on top of the original studio recording. It didn’t look that bad but once you started looking closely you could tell it needed a ton of work on every instrument. AJ & Freeway did all the heavy lifting, I did my thing on vocals. Rocker1999 playtested, fixed and tweaked it to perfection. Quite a few authors have put many hours into this song, its a very special custom indeed.

Yes Spindoctor. We worked on the GH version of Crazy on You a while back. I charted the drums. IMO the GH version is pretty damn good for a cover.

I agree it was one of the best covers for probably one of the toughest guitar parts to imitate.
I think I ended up pulling it from user complaints about the vocals. I didn’t/don’t know how to fix them so the easy thing for me was to pull it & stop the bleeding. The drums you did & the GH instrument charts were great IMO
I heard it so many times I was sick of dealing with the song & the resulting complaints.
All is well now as this version will be the real deal & had top notch authors take part to complete it.
So we reached 21 pretty easy this week.
All 3 songs will be posted later this week to the DB.
Heart won in a landslide victory, but voting is still open.

I didn’t realize the vocals for that cover version were so bent out of shape. In hindsight I could of took a look at them to get those pitches where they needed to be. Oh well, with the original version on the horizon it’s probably not desirable to work on the cover anymore.
