It’s been brought to my attention that “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” by Charlie Daniels Band has already been completed by another talented author here at C3. This author has the song listed in their WIP thread, and even talked about it recently on discord. I regret that we will be pulling the song from our thread and will instead be bringing you a different song in its place.

 

The good news is this song will be released soon by the other author.

 

I sincerely apologize for the mixup. My personal apologies to the other author, but I am glad this was brought to our attention sooner rather than later.

 

There’s no need to continue voting this week, we’ll call it a draw due to a technicality.

For those wondering, this here will be the ‘substitute’ song pulled from a future episode of Showdown.

 

 

 

It’s a pretty decent warmup song, about a guy who wakes up and gets on a plane and that’s about it. Not bad!

 

Even though Roky only got two votes, I’m pretty sure Charlie Daniels would have wiped the floor with him (vote-wise of course) so Doc will get to pick next week’s theme.
