I remember getting an oh but a brief glimpse into the good Doctor’s patient list a while back. Particularly the list of 60s and 70s country, rock, and pop songs.

I love being surprised in this thread, so I don’t really want to know the specifics what’s being worked on, or in what order, but his musical tastes are delightfully broad, and the prognosis is undoubtedly excellent!

Well I agree with Doc, last week will be impossible to top. So we’re not even gonna worry about it, we’ll just keep rolling through with forgotten classics from decades past.

The highlights for me this week are the harmonies on “You Can Do Magic”, the epic keys on “Up Where We Belong” and the catchy up-tempo beat of “Simply Irresistible”. Three solid gold eighties hits.

Not to downplay this week’s songs but you’re not going to believe your eyes when you see what is coming up next. Enjoy the songs <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

“You Can Do Magic” has one of my all-time favorite bridges in a pop song.

        You know darn well

When you cast your spell you will get your way

When you hypnotize with your eyes

A heart of stone can turn to clay

        Doo, doo, doo (ad infinitum)

“I’m trying to listen to the new Robert Palmer tape, but Evelyn, my supposed fiancée, keeps buzzing in my ear…”

2 and absolutely number 3. I’m stoked to have some more Robert Palmer.

My partner has basically the same “good” taste in music. In fact his musical tastes are a bit more broad than mine. When we are talking songs or bands quite often we have the same tunes in mind from those bands.

I will give one hint just so the minds go wandering a bit, it’s my favorite hint of all time.

Next week we will have more songs :smug:

Friday I will give one more hint as to what we have in store.

Well, I’ve thought long and hard about it, and it’s a tough call, but I’m voting for 1 & 3.
