Okay… I got bored and while waiting for my Xbox to warm up (It wont read discs nicely when it is too cold) I decided to get on Blitz and just mess around listening to the previews… Instead of exiting normally, I decided just to play a random custom and go to main menu that way (From experience, it doesn’t damage anything) but I ended up playing Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” and the was able to successfully play the song on Rock Band Blitz…
Originally, I was confused but I remembered that “Enter Sandman” was a RB1 convert (Right?) and is assuming that what got it work… So my question is, what other “customs” are able to successfully work on Blitz? (I’m assuming only converts from specific Rock Band games will work but I don’t know if they are any more or not)…
Note: I’m just being curious here. Oh and this little event made my day as now I know a Metallica song I can play on Blitz while waiting.

October 18, 2013 at 2:12 pm #408117You can’t play CON files in Blitz unless they’re from the RB1 export, including the three unexportable songs from the North American version. You need a JTAG/RGH console to play them in LIVE format.
October 18, 2013 at 5:47 pm #408146AnonymousSo basicly, only RB1 exports customs will work on Blitz? (“Enter Sandman” worked which is a RB1 export last I check).
FYI: I don’t hack consoles at all.

Yes, pretty much. It is judged as nothing more than an export from RB1, after all. Just don’t think about the “customs” part, and you’ll understand how all the other exported songs worked with it. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
October 18, 2013 at 6:37 pm #408150I’m sorry but there is no way your 360 reads discs better when it’s warm, that’s laughable. Unless you are outdoors in the winter and there is moisture in the air, your 360 being ‘cold’ is not going to be detrimental to its performance. I just saw your comment and couldn’t help myself. Carry on.
Edit to make this post relevant instead of dickish: It’s really too bad customs can’t work in Blitz. Blitz is a really cool game, but I barely ever touch it at this point and new songs would go a long way towards getting me back in. If only my JTAG wasn’t fucked (in fact it overheats and would probably only work if I could keep it cold, funny that.)

Carry on.It’s because it is one of the old original Xbox 360s (I got it after the RRoD fix though) and due to how old it is the reader moves a bit too slow when it is just a little cold. Now it is getting much colder thus slowing down the reader even more which means I need to wait and let it warm up more and more.
At least that’s what I’m assuming is the problem. Since it is the only reason that makes sense and it does happen dude. So don’t laugh about thinking I’m lying or being stupid, cause I am telling the truth. It is happening. Want me to go get proof about the possibility of that happening, hm?
October 19, 2013 at 11:29 pm #408209I myself didn’t think that the custom songs would work in Blitz. I personally haven’t actually played them in Blitz, but all of the custom songs show up in Blitz’s song list. It took a few minutes to “discover” all the songs, but they we all there. Out of pure paranoia of the leaderboards registering a custom song, I didn’t play any of the custom songs. As a side note, I’ve got a plain vanilla 360. I’m guessing that any rb3con file will work in Blitz?

Just like if you tried to play them with Title Update 5 on RB3.
October 21, 2013 at 12:36 pm #408279Yeah, tried it yesterday just to see and you are correct (yeah, you knew you were! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> ). Oh well.
