Is it possible to add a custom song, and that it be so borked that when you select it, it completely freezes the PS3?

It is a hard lock, no controller buttons work at all, the only option is to hit the power button.

It is only the one song. I have been doing multiple plays to check my latest additions for song looping. Does not matter if it is in a setlist or by itself.

      thanks

If it freezes when loading the song list, it’s the DTA file.

If it freezes when hovering over the song name, it’s the old PS3 issue with multiple drums stems and audio quality 5. Sometimes it’s possible to quickly select a song before freezing, but the freezing will occur anyway while playing.

We have a thread about the second problem, with an incomplete list of songs affected, so you can check if it’s one of them. The authors can fix the problem by rebuilding in Magma with quality 3. If they don’t, in the worst case you can fix it yourself but you might have to lose the multitrack when extracting the audio.

Sure. It has fallen out from the first page a while ago:

Thanks for the link. The song in question is on that list. I have not had a chance to read through the thread, but I hope there is a solution in there.

                Ok! Which song is that?

Also, if you find other songs with the same problem, please post it in that thread and I will also update the list.

OK. I hesitated to do that as I did not want to name and shame if it was a fixable issue. It was Somebody That I Used To Know. I have not run into any others that are doing that. A bunch of looping songs as I am slowly(finally) working my way through all the Customs. It is amazing how many Customs I d/l and then never get to play.

That particular song was fixed last year, have you downloaded it recently or a long time ago?
