Amazing, I swear that just this past weekend I listened to this Faith No More album from start to finish for the first time in a long while. I forgot how much I enjoy the hell out of it! The Jackson Browne track is such classic too, wow fun times ahead. Also, great news on those Tesla tracks you mentioned, I can’t wait!

JB’s “Boulevard” certainly is a classic – that one was for my wife, but I really like it too, both the guitar and vocs. Tough one to “voc-tar” with, though.

I think the album’s title track “The Real Thing” would be fantastic in RB, but it probably would be a beast to chart since it’s over 8 minutes long and it alternates between a slow and fast rhythm. It would be awesome though.

It would be awesome though.“The Real Thing” is actually one of the songs in my folder and yes, it is long, but not too daunting. The vocals will be tricky because, well, Mike Patton.
However, there are good dose “talkies” in that song, so maybe not. Believe it or not (check it out yourself), the rhythm hardly varies throughout – pretty much sticks around 80 BPM.

Alice in Chains – “Dam That River”
Unfortunately for some of you, I don’t think any of these three actually got any airtime. You might have to be a hardcore AiC fan to know them. Being one myself, I don’t know how well the “normals” know Alice in Chains beyond their bigger hits.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> “Dirt” is a really dark song, very haunting, very AiC. “Dam That River” has some great guitar in it. Both songs are from Dirt, which also featured “Rooster”, “Them Bones” and “Down in a Hole”. “Sunshine” was one of my first favorites off their Facelift album which also had on it “Man in the Box”. “Sunshine” has a lot of Layne harmonizing with himself – I went with what not only sounded right to me but felt right too. I wanted the song to be fun, not just “totally accurate”, so I may have taken some “harmonic liberties”, particularly toward the end. Let me know if you hate it and I’ll send you detailed instructions on how to delete it.

Several people correctly guessed it would be AiC, but none of their nearly 14 different song guesses were correct! I really wanted someone to get it right, but I had fun and more than a few folks said they enjoyed it also.
Keep an eye out for more to come.
Not a big fan of the band myself, but I have a friend who is really into them. Rock Band has gotten stale for him, maybe this will help get him back into it.
Don’t forget the other three (technically two, since one is just vocals) on the first page!
And “stale”? How is that possible with more new songs coming out now than ever before? Just from C3 alone, never mind all the “amateur” authors! He just getting bored strumming a plastic guitar?

I still hate that the “1985” lyric of “U-2” is “U- Two”. No matter what I tried, I couldn’t get the “2” to show up in game. Dirt” has some tricky riffs – fun stuff, though, and I’m glad you liked it. Thanks again for the YouTube PR!
