The site ahead contains harmful programs
Attackers on d.c3universe.com might attempt to trick you into installing programs that harm your browsing experience (for example, by changing your homepage or showing extra ads on sites you visit). Learn more
When I click Learn More I get this:

Don’t have a clue as to why, but I do know how to bypass it.

As much as it pains me to say it, Internet Explorer seems to be working for a temporary solution.

Same for Firefox, but you can just click “Open” after the download and it’ll allow the download.

Been binging on some c3 downloads and ran into this issue today.

Appears to be a rule on *.storage.arubacloud.co.uk domains. C3 is using Aruba Cloud as their filehost. Likely being caused by some other malicious host on arubacloud’s network.

The security block can be disabled in Firefox via:

Menu -> Options -> Privacy & Security tab -> uncheck ‘Block dangerous and deceptive content’.

Then you should be able to download whatever you want without issues. I’d recommend re-enabling the option once you’re finished your C3 download(s).

Tried this on Firefox and it seems C3U was blacklisted from Google’s safe browsing API. IE probably doesn’t use that. Looking at Google’s standards I’m guessing the auto-download of an extensionless binary file isn’t demed trustworthy. Or someone uploaded malware to the site but I’d be doubtful given the vetting process to enter.

I allowed it as an exception and it seems to have whitelisted the site. Maybe that’s enough, maybe others have different issues.

You can bypass Chrome’s warnings; if you click “Details” on the big red page, you can click through to “visit this site” and you’ll reach the download page.

Of course, Chrome will then say the custom file itself is dangerous and try to stop you from downloading it, but if you open the Downloads tab (Ctrl-J) you can tell it to go ahead with the download.

But… yeah that’s all pretty annoying, and more often than not Google’s not too bad about blowing the whistle, and there’s no way to whitelist C3 and keep the warnings on normally. There is, though, a means by which a site that’s been marked can petition to no longer be flagged.

I’d just like to add that I don’t get an unsafe site warning, but I do get a ‘this page is trying to load scripts from unauthenticated sources’ Chrome Error and the song download does not start automatically. I can start it manually though.

Developer tools in chrome shows http resources tried to be loaded from both c3 sites and google.com

Developers, would changing the resources to load via https make the download start automatically?

edit: I may have proved my solution won’t have any effect. I tried using the chrome option “Insecure origins treated as secure” and it made no difference to the automatic download, but the warning was gone.

This usually means that your website is hacked and Google has marked it insecure. Sometimes even when you fix the hack, the error still shows up. There is, however, an option allowing users to bypass this warning and enter the site. Even though it is not advisable to remove Deceptive Site Ahead filter from your browser, you can do that by following these simple steps:
            Start Google Chrome.
Click Menu or More icon in the upper-right corner.
Select Settings and Show advanced settings.
Go to Privacy and deselect Protect you and your device from dangerous sites.

This usually means that your website is hacked

No, it just means you can’t load all elements from HTTPS sources. If you’re linking to an image over HTTP, you get that warning, simply.

              Same set of errors here.

I figured this is a large enough community that it’s relatively safe to keep the files from a large charter but a little confirmation would be nice as the safe browsing filter says the flag status was updated today as well.

Chrome has never been this adement on blocking a download before. Anything I should be watching out for navigating C3?

Tried just now on both Firefox and Chrome with no problems. Which file are you downloading and which error are you getting?

Which database entries has d.c3universe.com as a URL for a download link?

To me, if a download link’s URL is https://d.c3universe.com, my computer warns me of an outdated certificate.

If it’s http://d.c3universe.com, nothing happens, bar the Google Safe Browsing advisory if you use a third-party browser.

                  If it’s https://dl.c3universe.com, nothing happens.

                    d. is an old subdomain, dl is the one we’re using now
