Taking a stab at the authoring game along with the wifey ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> she plays righty, but im a lefty guitar player. Trying to place notes with reaper fx….but the visual chart is for righties and i cant find the way to flip the visual chart to go lefty……would make things so much easier……using reaper 3.78 in case that matters……thanks in advance for the help.
There’s no way to get the preview to lefty flip without doing stuff to the pictures.
I play lefty guitar just like you but I’ve had to become accustomed to charting with right handed visuals. You’ll be fine after a while so don’t worry about it.
The Lefty Mode visual is as easy as just mirroring the preview window. Now I don’t know if mirroring one window is feasible on either Windows or Mac, but I know there are applications to do it for the entire screen. Perhaps you could bind that to a hotkey and toggle whenever you want to watch the preview.
Failing that, placing an actual mirror on the wall behind you is a workable solution, albeit a very inconvenient one.
You could also recolor the sprites of the preview plugin, then use the MIDI Tool plugin in Reaper to invert the notes (G->O and vice versa) before sending them to the preview plugin.
