Hi all,
I have a couple of customs where the lyrics are wrong in places. ‘Eloise’ and ‘Mr Blue Sky’ to be exact (not from here I hasten to add). They’re small errors but the pedant in me gets irked.
Is it incredibly simple to change the on screen lyrics, and if so is there a guide someone can point me to?
Many thanks.

You’d have to open the CON, export the MIDI, open the MIDI in Reaper, change the lyric event, export the MIDI, put it back into the CON, and rebuild the CON.
It’s “simple” but the simplicity depends on how alien to you most of those words were. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif”>
December 12, 2013 at 7:49 pm #410584If the errors involve non-capitalised words at the beginning of phrases, broken talkies or the use of punctuation, the LeFluffie MIDI Cleaner might be what you need. If the lyric is wrong all together, yeah you would need to export and change it manually in Reaper, sorry.
December 12, 2013 at 8:06 pm #410585It’s the smallest, pettiest changes, from ‘stare’ to ‘stay’ in Eloise, and the digitised voice at the end of Mr Blue Sky should say ‘Please turn me over’ not ‘Mr Blue Sky why’. Like I say, I’m a pedant.
Sounds doable though. As long as I make a copy and back it up before I start I can’t mess too much up. And if I’m going to start charting I have to start somewhere I guess.

Those are both my songs, and I’ll be happy to fix them.
Not sure about where “stay” is in Eloise though – if you can give a little more context with surrounding lyrics, it’ll make things easier.

Will do, but now you’ve got me doubting myself about it. I’ll double check tomorrow but I’m sure I remember seeing ‘And when I find you’d be so kind, you’d want to stare, I know you’d stare’ but it should be ‘stay’.
Bear in mind when I am channeling my inner Dave Vanian I am usually a bit drunk so I might be misrembering this. I have to double check tomorrow.
(and can I just say awesome work on them both! and sorry I’m a pedant and asked)

I love you. Thank you!
December 20, 2013 at 2:25 pm #410957Unless I’m doing something wrong, Mr Blue Sky still has the wrong lyric at the very end?
I’ve tried the bug report thing but I can’t see it in the drop down list anywhere?
