But trust me ( I say that a lot don’t I? ). The Sonic fan community is one that is incredibly varied.
Hell , they even made a wiki purposely for fanfiction for this franchise. I ‘m planning to join it someday under the same username as here. Expect my fursona to be a arctic fox named Dave Mustang.
I am fully aware of the varieties of Sonic fans. I have a few friends who are Sonic fans (and furries as well) who aren’t into the NSFW stuff. I am fully aware those that are into that stuff are in the very vocal minority. I’m also not one to judge of one does find that stuff enjoyable, since it’s harmless enough to everyone else.
I do have to point out the irony in your fursona, though, seeing how he has the last name of a horse-like character, but is a fox

Dave Lenard Mustang was born in New York City in the early 1990’s. Born to a vampire father and were-mobian mother he inherited both curses and was considered a “freak” in his neighborhood , although he did have a very small group of friends to accompany him. While he inherited his vampirism and had to suffer through it at birth and childhood , his first were-mobian transformation occurred at the age of 15. By this time his family had moved to Las Vegas and the event spread rapidly due to the massive death toll and large press coverage of the event. Shunned until college , he lost all of his friends and lived in solitude until he got a schlorship from Westopolis Community College.
When he got out of college , he moved to Westopolis , liking its “dark past and glamor” and started looking for musicians to start a band to make up for his dark past. That was where he met his fellow bandmates , Gunn Senah ( Based off Jun Senoue ) , Ned Heart ( Based off Neil Peart ) , and Jacob O’Golee ( Based off of Johnny Giollei ). Together they made all artist , all genre cover band Supadeath ( a play on Megadeth ) which was later renamed The Arctic Foxes ( a play on The Arctic Monkeys ). One night in the countryside of the U.F. he transformed into his were-mobian state ( ruining his newly bought tuxedo ) and came across a orphanage. In a turn of events he briefly reverted back to his regular mind and learned he had the ability to sense other people’s curses and can bring them out by focusing entirely on them for 30 seconds. Seeing this was a female arctic fox and that she just gained vampirism along with several features very similar to his own ( Blue wavy hair , jet white fur , black tipped tails , etc. ). He advanced in toward her , grabbed by the arm and started to bite her arm repeatedly , reverting back into his were-mobian mind and started to try tearing her arm off. However , this was fruitless as she easily pushed him off with her new strength. He lost interest in her and went off searching for another victim , but this attack would not leave that young girl unharmed. In fact , she gained his were-mobianism ( which she despises ) and miracuiously show up at one of his concerts , years later.
Dave married a prostitute named Roxanne , but broke up after he found out she was cheating on him by going out with other famous men for another marriage. He planned a concert in Station Square to make him feel better but in this show , he found the girl he bit years ago at that very crowd in the first row with many of her friends.
That girl was Valencia Suzette Doichman ( property of Kiramizing ).

.His name is based off of Dave Mustaine.
.He is almost always seen with a black tuxedo on,
.He currently lives in a mansion outside of Westopolis.
.The fact his father lives in NYC and is a vampire is based on Vampire In Brooklyn.
.SPOILER ALERT: in the upcoming roleplay Dave falls in love with Valencia but Valencia has trouble bonding with him being responsible for her were-mobianism.
.He drives a Bughatti Veyron 2014 EVERYWHERE.
.His least favorite band to cover is Culture Club because the singer ( he’s singer and he can perfectly imitate other vocalists ) sounds too much like a girl.

IDK what to say about the backstory. I have never seen any fursona backstory, mainly because I myself am not of the fandom, and don’t look into such things. I am also not a fan of fanfiction, and have only familiarized myself with a few of the infamously bad ones for laughs (such as My Immortal, that one goth/emo Harry Potter fanfic), so IDK how to grade something I am unfamiliar with. Sorry.

Here’s some facts I forgot to mention…
.He learned how to use photokinesis and umbrakinesis while in High School ( control of light and darkness respectively ).
.His band can do perfect covers of songs due to unbelievable talent.
.Dave’s music video for Megadeth’s Sudden Death featured the band as one of Sonic.exe’s victims. The first three members are killed in various gruesome ways ( albeit off screen ) before Dave is killed his last words were ‘I’ve got a pen , and I’m not afraid to click it!” before Sonic.exe grabs him by the neck and pops his head off like a vodka bottle. In .exe’s dimension , the band appears with their blue hairstyles turned crimson red and dripping blood from it , their fur and eyes have turned jet black with red dots marking where the puples used to be along with crying blood from them , and there suits and insturments are shown torn and broken to the point of unrecognizable.
.Dave is extremely intelligent and has an answer for almost anything.

I can sort of see it. Tails has always been the bright-eyed, innocent kid character (at least as far as I can tell), it could be easy for any hack screenwriter to make him the comic relief, or at least that one kid character that’s supposed to be “cute” but ends up annoying people both unaware of the actual characters and the people feeling betrayed at the portrayal of the character.
In other words, I am cynical enough to see that happening, and I don’t like it

Tails has always been the bright-eyed, innocent kid character (at least as far as I can tell), it could be easy for any hack screenwriter to make him the comic relief, or at least that one kid character that’s supposed to be “cute” but ends up annoying people both unaware of the actual characters and the people feeling betrayed at the portrayal of the character.
In other words, I am cynical enough to see that happening, and I don’t like it

Read: bad script writers. A lot of the time in an adaptation producers, directors, and script writers care more about meeting a certain target audience (in this case, I imagine really young kids) than making a good adaptation. This is Sony Pictures we’re talking about here. They made Theodor (of Alvin and the Chipmunks) eat his own feces.
Maybe I am being overly-cynical. Maybe this game will be the The LEGO Movie of the year it comes out. But from past experience from movies like this I am not holding out for much. As I’ve said before, I will still go see it, only because I like to watch movies, but I just hope it isn’t quite as bad as Smurfs or whatever.
