    Hello

With a lot of songs I work with

I Keep getting this error ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART GUITAR): Cannot parse event 0xf0 at [14]

even when I delete all the notes at 14:4:241

    I still get it

and there is no way to get rid of this error

    thanks

In the MIDI editor window, click on the dropdown menu that currently says “Text Events”. Now you will see a list of various MIDI editing tracks that are only to be used when composing music in MIDI. Check that no parts beside Text Events and Velocity have events in them (you can see this by checking if there is a black circle next to the event name), and if there are any then delete them. That should fix the issue, as Magma doesn’t support events that aren’t supported by the game itself and therefor spits out a error message.

    Hope that helps

If you’re getting those events, it’s 99% likely because you’re coming from a FoF existing custom. In which case, you should always run that MIDI through MIDI Cleaner before you start to work on it in REAPER.

so can I use the MIDI Cleaner with the one I exported from reaper?

Of course. But then you’ll always have to do it after exporting from REAPER, or you’ll have to reimport it after cleaning. Either way it’s more work than if you clean it first, then start working on it.

Use Remove invalid markers in CAT.

          Tried to use that

but the error still comes up in magma
