I’m trying to convert songs from Guitar Hero into RB3, and Magma keeps giving me this error for every instrument: Cannot parse event 0xf0. I have no idea what this means, and I couldn’t find any help for it online. I was hoping someone here would know the problem.
From our upcoming tutorial…
MIDI tracks have all kinds of events and commands that Magma not only doesn’t need but doesn’t want. With the MIDI track open click on View > Mode: event list. Now delete anything which type is not Track name or Note. That’s it, MIDI track cleaned.
Specifically, look for any System Exclusive or “SysEx” data, which is preceded by 0xF0 in the byte code.
Thanks alot. It worked.
