It be easier to fix if you actually said what was wrong instead of just posting the whole thing

It’s exactly what it says.
Missing Lyric: You have made a note tube which doesn’t have a lyric attatched to it. You need to add one
Misaligned note: A note tube doesn’t match up with a lyric you have put close to it. You need to make sure they are on the same line. I usually delete the note and lyric and do it again.
Beatdowns: Look in your beat track near the begining. something has gone wrong there. I’ve never seen that before and I dont know how you’ve done that sorry
Gem ticks: I dont know if you have just grabbed a midi and stuck it in there or not but alot of your notes for drums aren’t aligned with the beats. Not only the notes are bigger than what they need to be, but if they’re not on beat it can screw up a drummer while playing because it’s not in time. You need to delete these and make sure they are. Easy way is to double click the note then double click again in the same spot. Make sure you grid is set to 1/16 however otherwise you’ll get the same problem
Also I don’t know if it’s because I used the wrong music file (Itried both that were there) but your music and tracks are out of time. The music starts like 2 or 3 seconds after the notes start
June 30, 2015 at 3:36 am #449218I know what it says, and I know what to do. But every time I try to fix one thing even more errors pop up. The vocals are fixed now, that was easy. But the shit like the beat track and the drums, I can’t fix. I try but just can’t. I know I suck no need to berate me.
June 30, 2015 at 4:04 am #449219Well, you’re getting errors because you’re not doing it right, and more errors will pop up until you learn the correct process. This is not a “throw everything at the wall to see what sticks” kind of thing. You should spend a good 10+ hours between watching tutorial videos, reading the tutorial docs, and going through existing help threads before you even attempt to create your own customs. Anything less than that is going to lead to these problems you’re encountering and is asking others to do your homework for you.

But the shit like the beat track and the drums, I can’t fix.Drums notes can’t be longer than 1/16th and you can’t have to consecutive “Downbeat” notes in your BEAT track, either change one to upbeat or delete it. That’s how you fix those issues, that’s it. Keep in mind you’re posting in the Authoring subforum: if you have no interest in putting in the time needed to learn to author, just post in the Other Customs to see if anybody is willing to work on this song for you.
June 30, 2015 at 9:40 am #449226In no way did I say/mean you suck or berate you. You asked what was wrong, I explainedI didn’t mean that as you were berating me, I was just speaking in general as this is the first problem of this kind I’ve had.
You should spend a good 10+ hours between watching tutorial videos, reading the tutorial docs, and going through existing help threads before you even attempt to create your own customs.I actually have spent hours watching tutorials and have made many customs before. I was just pretty pissed with the errors I was getting on this one. I’ve decided to start over in a new project. I don’t why the drums notes are like they are, I was authoring in 1/32 like I usually do. The beat track I’ve fixed but it screwed with the whole track so I just decided to start from scratch.
June 30, 2015 at 10:39 am #449227you can’t have to consecutive “Downbeat” notes in your BEAT trackI was wondering what I should do with 1/4 bars, Sould I put 2 beat markers, or just one and don’t make it a downbeat? Does it really makes a difference which approach I take?
I know this is a random question, and it has nothing to do with the topic, but It’s curiosity, something that happened to me more than once (having a 1/4 bar to deal with).
June 30, 2015 at 10:56 am #449228I was authoring in 1/32 like I usually do.Dont author in 1/32. For the most time you chart in 1/16th. When hammer ons and quick drum parts and such is when 1/32 is fine

Make it an upbeat and effectively consider the previous measure n+1/4, as a general rule.

This is especially true for drums because note size doesn’t really matter for drum notes unless it prevents you from charting quick rolls like mango said (no drum sustains). Since all your gem tick errors are for your drum track, you can run the “Set note lengths to grid size” command to ensure all your notes are the right size and won’t give you errors. To do this, select all of your drum notes (except for any that need to be quick, 1/32) and run the command with your grid size set to 1/16 or lower. You can find this command by selecting “Actions” and then “Show action list” and then searching for the command. If it doesn’t pop up, make sure your selection dropdown within the Actions menu is set to “MIDI editor”.
This command is great for working with weird drums MIDIs like those found in FoF files and the like.
If you’re having issues creating a beat track I would highly recommend installing and using CAT. You can just hit “Create beat track” when you are finished with placing your [end] event and never have to worry about it again. There may be some advantage to doing the beat track manually – I have little to no idea what the beat track actually functionally does – but as far as making a working custom that passes through Magma with no errors goes, this works great.
July 8, 2015 at 11:24 am #449813Except for vocals, which should always be 1/64.
