I’m new and I really want to know if I bought Rock Band 4 DLC could I play it on my Rock Band 3 EA disc game?

RB4 DLC is exclusive to RB4, meaning legally there’s no way to play RB4 DLC on any copy of RB3.

To which you’d get in a lot of trouble with C3 if you were to post them so I’d recommend against that.

Delete what? Rock Band 4? I think we all wish that game could be deleted. Did more harm than good.

There’s no harm in talking about or creating customs of RB4 songs per se. You just can’t share them on here.

OK then – has anyone successfully extracted RB4 midis and multi tracks? If not how far away from doing this are we?

As far as I’m aware there is zero progress. Unlike with the prior games, there is no way as of now to access the PS4 and Xbox One files…so we can’t even try to get at the RB4 specific files since we have that hurdle in our way. I would guess within a year or so someone will crack the Xbox One encryption and we can get inside the files. But who knows what format the RB4 files will be in or whether they will have another layer of encryption on top of the Xbox One/PS4 container encryption.

I am not holding my breath on this one…

If the PC version of RB4 would of been funded then maybe we would be having a different discussion right now about RB4 songs being playable on RB3.
